From track to the south, by barn. Delighted oak wooded top with acorns on the wall next to the summit stone.vegibagger22/10/2023
2nd visit. Storm Babet. 7 hrs on my feet covering 21 km linking 12 low hills (5 repeat tumps & 7 new sub-tumps) on a circuit from Knipe Fold. Took a battering from Storm Babet from the met office forecast of 'Gales or severe gales northeasterly winds, even at lower levels and stormy on the tops'. A lovely open oak woodland - in today's gales even the Herdwick sheep were sheltering in here. I watched and listened carefully and prepared to run every time a fierce guest blew in case one of the tress snapped. A poor van driver was killed by a falling tree from this storm in Angus. Dale Farm had an honesty cake stall - thinks looked up as I road walked to Blea Tarn and two sub-tumps whilst munching carrot cake. Langdale Marathon is happening tomorrow -all signs just gone up and well cable tied in place. Incredibly the wind died to a mere breeze overnight.Chris Pearson20/10/2023
Straightforward from high point of RoW to WSW.Alan Moore24/05/2023
A nice walk from Elterwater via the ROWs.summitter18/10/2022
A quiet, peaceful evening walk after watching HM The Queen's funeral. From Tilberthwaite to Little Langdale and back, visiting Great How and Fletcher's Wood. 11km with 300m ascent in 2.5 hours.silveracorn_alan19/09/2022
If you wish to avoid climbing and/or road walking you can park at the southern (top) end of the concessionary path through the woods. Follow the path through the trees until you reach a gate through a wall. Follow this wall uphill unril you reach the fields. Here you can pick up the footpath as far as Low Hacket. More signposted footpaths lead into the summit field. Not visible from any habitation at any point apart from a barn conversion some distance away.moorsman21/05/2022

6/6 From Pelter Bridge, Lanty Scar and Fox How, both on Loughrigg East Slopes, then Little Loughrigg, over to Cumbria Way to Park Fell, then back via Cumbria Way to Great How and Fletchers Wood, back via Loughrigg Terrace to Rydal. Nice winter walk, quite a bit of climbing, bit pooped!nickywood129/12/2019
From gap in wall, between two wooden posts adjacent to very narrow step-up-and-through stone stile on RoW at NY3222503615, easy through open woodland. Woman in posh garden at Low Hacket was shouting and gesticulating, but as she was about 200m away, she was wasting her words and arms as I couldn't make either out at that distance.Isbjorn14/10/2019
At dusk from Wilson's place but still light enough to enjoy the pastoral approach and summit in enchanted woodland.Wycombe Wanderer06/10/2019
