From near high point of road (NF788109, by stonewalled seat and view marker), along trodden paths to a gate, then up to summit by a less distinct continuation, on easy short grass slopes, return same way (55m) | kdbennett | 20/06/2023 |
Nice 3 Marilyn walk in the sun after arriving on ferry from Barra before getting bus up to accom near Lochboisdale. Good scrambling up short walls on direct route. | davechaffey | 20/06/2023 |
Off the ferry from Barra at 7.45am and all four Eriskay tops bagged by 9.30am. Parked at Ferry CP and then anti-clockwise circuit of Beinn Cracabhaig, Beinn Stac, Cnoc Pairceanan and Beinn Sgritheann. Continued hot conditions meant it was an easy wander along sheep, cow and deer trods and across bone-dry sphagnum for most of the way. There is actually a waymarked path to and from Beinn Sgritheann from road to the west, which makes things even simpler. A celebratory breakfast in the Kilbride cafe completed a great morning. | summitter | 14/06/2023 |

A circular walk with Alma Aurea. Beinn Sgritheann, Cnoc Pairceanan and then a loop back along the coast. Just beautiful views throughout. /D | meltdiceburg | 31/07/2022 |
Parked off road near the highpoint of road then used a track of sorts to a gate then onward to Ben Scrien. Then off to bag the nearby Tump called Cnoc Pairceanan. | Dugswell2 | 05/06/2022 |
Parked with permission at the Community Shop. Straight walk up from the bend in the road as you leave the village. Solo. | Dangerous Dave | 02/06/2022 |

Usual way up.No doubt one of the easiest and most enjoyable Marilyns. | AndrewFinnimore | 05/09/2021 |
From the high point of the road. Worth finding the path, easier way up. Mild, overcast and extensive views. | iangalbraith | 04/09/2021 |
As others from viewpoint cp on high point of road. Path marked with posts starts few hundred m north near house. Eriskay ponies and a closed Am Politican (Covid) made a quiet visit... gales winds. | N.Morters | 03/05/2021 |
From parking area at summit of road to the west. | Winterfloodian | 20/10/2020 |
A fine stroll around Eriskay, starting from the parking area near the road summit. Onto the hill and up the SW ridge, finding a good path higher up. Splendid views and a nice, dry, grassy hill, with only a few short bogs. Down NE very pleasantly to the abandoned village at Roisinis, then the path and road back to the car. Ponies at the causeway road junction. | Gill | 15/10/2020 |
From Bun mhullin side. A bit boggy, but brilliant views to South Uist and Barra | tkunath | 14/07/2020 |
Solo. From Eriskay ferry terminal, having crossed as a foot passenger from Barra, walked up road to high point. More or less straight up to the trig point of Ben Scrien and the rocky rib that is the highest point. Down SE slopes a bit and then to Cnoc Pairceanan. Descended towards Loch Cracabhaig and found a gate in the fence. Descended to Pairceanan and continued to Ben Stack. | pwbellarby | 03/06/2019 |
From lay-by at NF787107, a few yards to road summit, then followed a path marked by stakes for first half mile. This went up the steepest ground free of crags from where it was a simple walk to the trig point and excellent views. I then went down the less steep SSE slopes, easy to avoid any low crags, to the outflow from Loch Cracabhaig and over Cnoc Pairceanan, a pleasant variant route to return in the dry conditions. 2h with stops to admire the views and enjoy the sunshine. | pwheeler | 22/05/2019 |
Fantastic views - climbed from the mast by the road. So beautiful. | Rob Rees | 11/05/2019 |

Eriskay hill, diverted up to it doing bit of Hebridean way. Good view. Nice pub when you get back down before the causeway. Combine it with Easaval and a walk along Hebridean way and you have a lovely day organised. | nickywood1 | 08/06/2018 |
From HP of road to W. Nice | Thearlaichdubh | 24/05/2018 |
CW circuit of The Eriskay Trio - Ma-Tu-Hu. Visited the first two hills with Charlie (one of yesterday's Barra Head five island team). Charlie went back to his car for adventures further north & I carried on to the third hill. Had an hour to kill before ferry back to Barra - strolled along white sands, etc. | ger | 24/05/2018 |
