From Millom Park - tried to go direct but too difficult underfoot so used path via mast. Good viewpoint | trimarc2 | 16/10/2023 |
From millom park. | cjo | 14/10/2023 |
Parked near gate (space for 1 car) to N of Lowscales Bank for a circuit of Lowscales Bank, Lowscales Hill and Millom Park. | PGCE | 31/08/2023 |
2/8. Parked near Po House, up footpath and across to summit of Lowscales Hill, then negotiating walls mostly using gates to Lowscales Bank. Then dropped down to RoW, through gate and up along wall side to mast, over onto RoW through wood and up to Millom Park and the observation tower. A great view on a sunny day but very windy as Storm Otto was passing! Then back past the mast and down to the road. 7km with 500m ascent taking 2 hours. | silveracorn_alan | 17/02/2023 |
From Lowscales Hill through gaps in walls at SD 1532 8212 & SD 1535 8214, collapsed wall at SD 1549 8228 & gate at SD 1563 8241 | AlanD | 15/03/2022 |
From Lowscales Hill via engineered gaps in walls at SD 15330 82112 and SD 15362 82130. Then 7 ft gates at SD 154824 and SD 156824 - the mapped track between them no longer exists. | Isbjorn | 28/12/2021 |
After Millom Park. Retraced steps to mast then followed the mast road to minor road. Path off to left, through a gate and then on access land. Great summit but misty on my visit. | Alan Caine | 24/12/2021 |
Parking on the verge where the two paths meet the road. Walk along the Lowscales path as far as a gate after which you can head easily uphill. Beware if you take a direct line to Millom Park as the intervening wall is a challenge to negotiate. Easiest at the wall junction. | moorsman | 11/05/2021 |
After gardening job at The Hill to exercise Jill...walking from the Rock Park carpark along the road heading towards Po House ..turning off the road by the farm on to the bridle way ..through the gate then right turn up to bag this small hill on a warm ,sunny but breezy day with glorious views all around. | Grey Hare | 21/04/2020 |
