From Lane Ends parking on T junction at start of path. After the 2nd deer gate not much path but easy enough apart from some clumps of holly trees. Lovely summit.Minto29/12/2023
From Lane Ends.Followed PeterD's route, but at this time of the year, the path NE after the deer fence is initially, but briefly, covered by head-high bracken. After that quite easy, provided you stay near the wall.catman05/07/2023

Excellent Parking at Lane Ends. Good path most of the way but last few metres were through easy brashmoorsman15/07/2021
1/2 Parked on lane Ends and used footpath to a high point when tracked north to top, then returned to this path, continued on it and used permissive path back at lower level. Gorgeous day, then over road to Newby Haw, climbed by going through Haverthwaite and along to woodland then picked way to top.nickywood129/12/2020
Roadside parking at Lane Ends and then followed the path to summit and alternate one.Alan Caine10/10/2020

With Rick Nordicstar, our last hill of 14 for the day. Ascended RoW from Lane Ends in dusk. Where path veers SE after 500m, passed through deer gate and continued on a faint wdld track direct to HP.jonglew09/01/2018

A very lovely hill accessed from lane end gate 341843. Ancient Woodland with bluebells going over at the bottom, but coming into bloom at the top. Summit under trees. I couldn't find any white topped posts by Chris P.Karmakarl17/05/2017
White topped posts marked a fortuitous circular path leading over the summit with 3 minor diversions into thick bracken and onto mossy boulders to tick all high point options. Down to the converted mill -scrubbed clean since it's dolly blue dye days when all around was tainted blue. I liked the sign forbidding me from jumping off the river bridge 'without a good reason' ?? Pleased to be tall enough for a free look through the window of the motor museum. Nasty km jog along pathless dual carriageway to link to next tump of Summer House KnottsChris Pearson10/07/2016
From SW. In bracken season best to continue to highest point of path (SD 34828 84583) before heading to the summit. GPS made N top 3m lower but poor accuracy. Plan was to descend via the other 150 contours but bracken too off puttingRHW03/08/2015
Woodland walk from Lane Ends. For what it's worth, GPS said northerly summit was higher; couple of rocks there with moss removed indicated visit by baggers!Aye Jimmy04/04/2015
Two tops but Eastern appears higherpeebs27/03/2015
Good parking at Lane Ends on the old road SW of hill. Follow RoW then keep to RHS of wall. No obstacles.jimbloomer02/01/2014
