Part of circular walk with Loughrigg. Approached from road junction to East. Gate in wall and faint but good path. Parking for a couple of cars. Sign on (unlocked) gate saying no right of way (but not forbiding entry). Nice view.HardenC18/03/2024

Parked in Elterwater, headed directly onto the Silver How ridge, Then W to the summit, backtracked along the ridge crossing the road near High Close YH. Steeply up to Loughrigg Fell, then along the fell before descending to Tarn Foot. Took the track from the road junction up Little Loughrigg, and down the road to Skelwith Bridge. Back along the Cumbria Way past Elterwater to the car. Altogether 13km with 700m ascent taking 4 hours.silveracorn_alan15/02/2023
I mistakenly approached from the Neaum cabins, requiring a wall scramble and bracken bash. Returned via a warn path through the bracken which starts/ends east of the summit .... much easier!summitter18/10/2022
Parking area at the road junction to the east. No real paths and possibly very diffcult in summer owing to desity of the bracken. Best attempted before June.moorsman21/05/2022

It's possible to park to east in small lay by near road junction. At junction is a gate in a high stone wall marked, 'National Trust, no right of way.' From this there is a path which winds through the vegetation to the summit. Luckily bracken is not a big issue in December. Rock outcrop with nice views at HP.Denise 31/12/2021
Final hill of the year. Good path from road junction on E side of hill. Good views.RichardM31/12/2021

Very difficult to get in. Had a problem with landowner over the road who told me i was trespassing and they had, had a problem with people tampering with the water supply. Walls are quite big in places.DARRENG10/04/2021

3/6 From Pelter Bridge, Lanty Scar and Fox How, both on Loughrigg East Slopes, then Little Loughrigg, over to Cumbria Way to Park Fell, then back via Cumbria Way to Great How and Fletchers Wood, back via Loughrigg Terrace to Rydal. Nice winter walk, quite a bit of climbing, bit pooped!nickywood129/12/2019
11 am, 10 degrees, overcast, north wind making it feel colder. Vey quick via good path (might be hard to find in bracken season) from road junction to east. Superb viewpoint.Wycombe Wanderer05/11/2019
