From RoW to west. Domed sheep Pasture with small cairn, raining. Onto Ulverston Fundamental Benchmark.Denise 30/12/2023
Parked on B road junction at Low Flan Farm, for this hill and Town Bank Hill.Minto28/12/2023
Straightforward route up Gill then Flan . Over top then through woods onto Hoad hillWelshman09/11/2022
PFP from B5281, but no RoW away from PFP, to Flan Hill - sign on gate at start of PFP at SD2866679630 specifically instructs to keep to the path. But at first LH bend, a cow trod sets uphill to wall corner - then reasonably discrete almost to top, as long as trees are in foliage.Isbjorn12/07/2022
Smashing little hill. Started from layby to the W. Gate into small square field with second gate into main hill area.GordonAdshead14/11/2021
Solo. Street Parking at the junction of the B5281 and Ford Park Crescent (there’s a car park in Ford Park). Hoad Hill Monument, then Town Bank Hill, then Flan Hill.ADT11/07/2021
Small parking pull-in on the road to the east. Enter the farmland by the public footpath but, instead of turning left, there is an obvious track leading uphill. Although this soon peters out other sheep tracks lead up to the summit. A good parking spot to continue on to Town Bank Hill from without the long drag via the monument.moorsman14/05/2021
Over the Hoad then Town Bank Hill, down NE to Newlands where interesting info about the old Furnace that used to be there. Used field with narrow entrance from this lane to access The Alps and came all the way down Nort from there, all good, gates all opened. Used lanes to get back to Flan Hill and finish down The Ghyll into Ulverston. Nice two hour short bimble.nickywood130/03/2019
Tight parking on road verge between Flan Hill and Town Bank Hill, Flan first, directly up on steep grass to cairn, then footpaths up woodland to Town BankColin Crawford03/03/2019

1st tump of 12 on a 33.6km circular route from Ulverston, heading North from my Airbnb to Old Hall road then using footpath at SD28255 79248 veering off to climb direct to the top. Fantastic views of the Hoad from here and out to sea. Lovely top. Continuing East to Town Bank Hill....Dazingdale01/04/2018
From Old Hall Road - through a couple of gates then straight up to top.Bramley23/06/2017
Circular route from jim's starting point. Good path from Town Bank Hill near edge of wood reaches high point of B road opposite the ROW round Flan Hill.mae03/06/2017

From lane that runs to W of hill; started at public f/p to S. Cairn on top.Aye Jimmy29/04/2015
I parked at road junction to ENE and used 2 gates & a fence for a fairly direct line. However there's just parking 150m S of my start and use of RoW would be less challenging.jimbloomer11/01/2014
