Logged Descriptions  (logged by 32 users)ByDate of Ascent
Good verge parking immediately after the gate on the road to Capplerigg (it is a public road). Walk down past the farm. I turned right at the junction, left may have been shorter. However it was easy enough to follow the path almost to the south where a gate gives entry into the field. Follow the edge of the field, through a tree line and left through a weakness in the wall. Summit just ahead. Very easy walk and ascent.moorsman05/08/2022
Parked at end of Capplerigg Lane. Down the bridleway and took the left hand fork. Great Little Hill.Andrew Pearson03/02/2020
2/2 As per Nordicstar thank you. Then on to Bell Hill which we climbed from the footpath fork to the West but descended back to the East Branch which was better way because no walls.nickywood101/12/2019
Parked at the start of Capelrigg Lane. Followed road and then bridleway to junction. Crossed gate here and then a higher one to reach the top.JohnW05/03/2019
From dirt layby on B5284 near start of Capplerigg Lane. Capple Rigg first. Then back on the RoW to a field gate at SD 4681 9418.jonglew14/10/2018
From Capple Rigg farm. The field at fork in RoW described by JB contained a lot of cattle and their herdsmen and dogs, so took left fork and walked down to a gate which lead up to another gate and simple if slightly longer route to top, cattle free. W Jenx and Bryhernordicstar11/12/2017
A very pretty area.jenx11/12/2017

Park at road end. Follow bridleway until it bifurcates. Go straight on entering a field via a gate. A bit of a path winds between the bracken & gorse to another gate to gain entry to summit field. 2nd gate not visible from 1st - it's R of a direct line to the summit.jimbloomer24/08/2015

As chriswatson going through gate at junction and across heath with gorse. West side of summit has isolated boulders, some almost in form of a sloping(!) stone circle; doesn't look a natural phenomenon.Aye Jimmy27/02/2015
