Parked on bend to NNE. SE along path, then SW under pylons to summit. | Minto | 28/12/2023 |
From North. | cjo | 15/10/2023 |
7/10 Parked at the cross roads to the north. Completed a full circle of this small hill on public footpaths and roads. Left the public footpath on the SE side, and followed hedge line to summit field crossing 2 gates to access it. | silveracorn_alan | 18/02/2023 |
Parked near cross roads to north, down Dungeon Lane to bend and along FP initially then up pasture under power lines to HP. Land to SW could be as high but very little in it. | PeterD | 28/12/2022 |

Roosecote Hill from GR: SD 23308 69314 | ronaldo333 | 27/11/2022 |
V bend at SD233693 was not a sensible place to park (it is a tight, ad hoc, passing place on a narrow blind bend). Parked at X-roads SD233695. Field to SE in crop, two candidate vegitated gaps in hedge below power lines, but would have had to trample crop to access. | Isbjorn | 06/07/2022 |

Could only park at sharp V bend in lane to NE. and walk back up lane to gate due N. Rather muddy going but good views from top | GordonAdshead | 13/11/2021 |
Good parking at the road junction to the north. Walk south down the minor road and take the path through the fields. The fields are under crops but good tractor lines means you don't walk on any vegetation. When level with the summit cross the fenceline and head upwards across another field. | moorsman | 13/05/2021 |

3/3 Parked in Leece, up the Cistercian Way and then continue up Green Lane, summit in the last field on the left before gate. Then rejoined Cistercian way to get over to hamlet called Stank (it did) to climb Yarlside, back through Stank (couldn't get enough first time) and up Roosecote Hill. Footpath from here back to Leece is pretty overgrown but got by. | nickywood1 | 11/07/2020 |

Both rises visited from road to NW | Colin Crawford | 01/03/2019 |
From FP to NE. Enjoyed unfamiliar view of the Furness peninsular and across the bay. | Wycombe Wanderer | 28/01/2019 |
Wide roadside verge (SD 2297 6867). Field gate, with 'FWA Memebrs Only' sign, despite being a public RoW! Anyhow, I think I'm a member (Freedom from Work Association?). 2 or perhaps 3 b/w stock fences to negotiate crossing from one sheep pasture to another, until the flat HP is finally reached. | jonglew | 10/12/2018 |
6th tump of 11 on a 32.2km loop from Askham to Ulverston, climbing Park Knotts, High Haume Beacon, Hagg Hills, the Billings and Yarlside, descent West to Stank lane then onto Dungeon lane, using footpath but then heading up high exploiting small gap in hedge, then heading upto the summit, exploring around to fenceline but no further South, descending Nw near fenceline (out of sight) then through gate back onto Dungeon lane, taking Hard Knotts lane for Scarbarrow Hill... | Dazingdale | 31/03/2018 |

Parked in the layby on A5087 then walked up Dungeon Lane then across pasture to high point then SW to bag second high point then 2 gates to start of footpath back at A5087 for a circular route. | Dugswell2 | 08/10/2015 |
From S, aj route. Sighting back south against sea level horizon, South summit appears higher but too close to call | RHW | 01/08/2015 |
Easy parking due S of hill on A5087. Public f/p sign but locked gate saying Members Only! Over this into fields that lead towards power lines. Couple of raised areas that could be the summit. | Aye Jimmy | 29/04/2015 |

Parked in the sharp bend on Dungeon lane. There's a gate (with barbed wire) into field 200m W. This leads without fences to the area around the 43m spot height. I was Abneyless but felt the ground 200m SW was as high or higher (as suggested by the contours). Crossed a fence to get to this position. In the circumstances approach from S may be as good/better depending on parking. | jimbloomer | 19/11/2013 |
