6th hill of 6 on a 33km circuit from Mçiddlesmoor. After Dead Man's hill and nourishment on a boulder i dropped down to track, crossed over the reservoir and took winding track and where it passes through a gate i took the grassy track to the top bordering the wall most of the way. Pretty indistinct top. Returned same way out of respect for the birds and followed the track back into Middlesmoor.Dazingdale28/05/2023
2 of 2: After Cam Rakes we drove to the Scar House Dam CP. Nidderdale Way then across. 2 Quad bikes drove up to us. The gamekeeper said we should not be here at this time of year due to ground nesting birds. With Karen.ChrisR19/04/2023

At the extreme west of the car parking area (alt 1072ft), just back from the reservoir (free, there is a break in the fence line. If you go through this and go behind the outlet sluice you can pick up a decent track leading directly up to the bends in the track above. Follow this track to the wall where there is a tractor track leading virtually to the summit. Short-cutting directly across the moor may save distance but not time. 1.62 miles return ...45 mins.moorsman21/10/2015
