2nd visit. Lovely icy sunny January day with a gentle but chill icy N wind - high pressure in charge. Perfect day for the start of the Winter Spine race (Pennine Way) which got underway this morning). 3hr circuit with L and the 3 dogs we are pet-sitting for at Casterton - the lab and spaniel loved chasing each other and play fighting all way round - ignoring all sheep. Back for lunch then all of us snoozing on the sofa in front of the wood burner.Chris Pearson14/01/2024
As others parked by start of FP to South. Along track to bend up to gate and up Barbon Low Fell first before returning using tracks to this top. Back down to gate.PeterD11/08/2023

Verge parking to SSE by start of RoW at SD 6568 8094 (space for 1 car) - Up RoW as far as bend & then ATV track up to a gate - Through gate & then N. over sheep pasture to the obvious summit; the wall topped with wire fencing was easily crossed 25m or so SE of the summit. Reading moorsman's comment, I may well have missed a gap in the wall a bit further to the E. (S)gerrybowes15/12/2020
