Great views all around. Visited whilst also circumnavigating 5 lakes on a 9 mile run. Re-visit as I wanted to log the trig point this timemadaddo15/09/2022
09:30, 15 degrees, sunshine and dark cloud, light easterlies. Easy stroll from 397, grass then heathery ridge with a path.Wycombe Wanderer29/08/2022
Parked in flat area near Bollihope Beck. Climbed up through old quarries and mine workings, turned left at first set of grouse butts which had a faint path and on to summit 'ridge' and trig. Excellent little hill with great views across Durham.matty1971b18/08/2022
Parked down by the bridge at the bottom and followed the path part of the way to the top. Walked along the ridge to the trig point and then back down the other side to the road. Beautiful weather for the time of year!deadheaduk14/01/2022

Parked on road to the west at one of many parking spaces, then followed a track of sorts almost to the summit. The walking is so easy as the grass and heather are very short. Fantastic views especially from the summit which is covered in quartz. Would have liked to have spent longer on top exploring!Fisky Boy07/05/2015

From near summit of road to W, following sheep tracks through grass and short heather to gain nice ridge, rocky on S side. Then past a quartzy cairn to trig beyond. Very pleasant spot.Aye Jimmy04/01/2015
From road col to WNW. Followed ATV track then sheep lines through shallow heather and furze to cairn then trig. Nice hill profile and good views into Durham.nordicstar29/10/2014
Enjoyed this one - much better than your average moorland top. Climbed it from the quarry to the south, then dropped down East to pick up a good track back - about an hour brisk walking.Crib Goch07/11/2013
A terrific little hill. Parking available on a gravelled layby on the road to the west. Walk to the north for 10m as far as the black and white marker. A track starts opposite here which leads a good way to the top. Well kept moor so direct walking across is very easy with numerous sheep trails.moorsman24/10/2013
