With Jo, from Stump Cross: east along B6265 to second gate, track across Sun Side Allotment to stile, High Crag, then across Parker Allotment to Forest Road, then Black Hill Road and detour to Nursery Knot for views to north. Weather; generally sunny, mild, good visibility.amblerbob15/11/2016

Wide verge alongside the brown Stump Cross notice for parking (alt 1233 ft). Gate immediately in front has No Access on it but opens easily. Path most of the way to the top, although some indistinct sections. 1.2 miles .... 40 mins return.moorsman21/10/2015
