| Last hill of a holiday with Pete, on a day West of Eden. This hill has different views, more or less N along the valley, and outliers such as Dufton Pike stood out best from this top, in the flat midsummer sunlight. | 2/3 Birthday walk. Used Pennine Bridleway to get up to Little Fell, then lovely walk along the ridge with views to Mallerstang, over the minor road and up to Birkett Common, then along this lane to get back to main road and up Ash Fell from the Cattle Grid. Go up LHS of the wall and cross it about 100 metres from the trig point, easy throughs in the wall there. Even I did it. Then back over open access land to car. | nickywood1 | 03/09/2020 |
