As clivella, but didn't bother with going inside reservoir compound. Good views in the sunshine here, cloud topped Lakeland fells. With Pete | pwheeler | 17/03/2024 |
Easy pickings - 2nd of 4 little Tumps in rolling pasture country East of (River) Eden. Not to be confused with
John Steinbecks 1952 famous novel East of Eden which describe in detail the Salinas Valley, California, the sights, sounds, smells and colours. Here once you have said it was grey and raining and nothing happening there's not a lot left to fill a novel. | Chris Pearson | 24/10/2023 |
From the west. | robertphillips | 08/09/2023 |
Parked at 53401 45152 at the start of the reservoir track and followed the obvious way. HP given is outside the reservoir compound but bw was already arranged with an easy gap so went in and stood on both lumps. | clivevilla | 16/04/2023 |
Parked at start of reservoir track. Easy walk to summit. Met the old boy on the way back and had a good chat with him. | Minto | 28/10/2022 |
Parked easily on the verge at the start of the reservoir access track to the north. Clear path to the summit. As I was alongside the summit a vehicle entered the field and circled me. Both occupants gave me cheery wave. Next came a trailer carrying feed to put into the sheep feeding area. Driver gave me a wave. Finally a tractor stopped to let me pass on the track. Yes, I got another wave. Access therefore must be tolerated. | moorsman | 04/08/2022 |
Met local chap at his land at entrance to track to the reservoir and he saw no reason why we could not nip up - very friendly chap who knew the exact height of the hill in relation to the nearest rival neighbour and he was quite interested in our hill bagging. Refreshing to feel welcome. | nickywood1 | 17/07/2021 |
P by High Farm. 2nd field on way to Barugh Cottages. Round field edges, under barbed wire fences and over gates to top. | chrisbien | 18/07/2020 |

Parked to the NNE NY534449 as jonglew. | David Evans | 22/04/2019 |
Drove along reservoir/farm access track, parking at first gate. HP would seem to be in the reservoir compound, at ground between the 2 reservoirs. | jonglew | 23/05/2018 |
Lane from N busy so took b/way E from Ruckcroft towards Barugh. Track immediately to L rather public so continued until convenient gap in hedge appeared. Followed field edges round to reservoir on top. | Aye Jimmy | 31/10/2015 |
