With Steve, on a glorious spring day. A splendid long circular walk of Lower Wharfedale from Weeton, visiting Almscliff Crag and then on to North Rigton, Kirkby Overblow, Netherby and back along the R Wharfe. Extensive sunshine giving good views across Wharfedale to the Chevin and Ilkley Moor from the top of the Crag. 22.4km with 350m ascent in 5h50m.silveracorn_alan22/03/2021

Reached the summit having led Pete Hemmings up Franklands Green Crack (VS 4C) which features in 'Classic Rock'. The route is described in rockfax as'A major classic, the luminous crack is usually drier than it looks - pity about the pigeon poo. The final bulging section often proves more difficult than you might expect, try bridging it'. I recorded it as being a deperate struggle.Chris Pearson25/04/1990
