Car at chapel car park. Over Auchnashellock Hill. Bridge at 71286.15419. Up flank of An Beannan onto M Clachach. Round the Donald horseshoe finishing down the NW spur of BN Eun. Bridges at 69770.14179 to pass through gates to the car park. | Moorponder | 14/10/2023 |
Parking both sides of bridge, or else at church (NN712161) (no parking W of church). Up Findhu Glen tk to bridge at NN725151. Then pathless, tuddy blussocks and deep veg hiding deep drainage channels, went straight up to get through it ASAP, then made ascending TR R to NW ridge, where still no path. Beinn nan Eun summit defended by hags. ATV tk leaves summit and descends a grass corridor between hags, then can TR SW below hags and re-ascend another ATV tk up another grass corridor between Beinn Odhar’s hags. Descended NW ridge to pick up some An Tx near NN714140, but they did not help much, just more tough veg hiding deep drainage channels – break a leg here and no-one will hear you scream. Very faint ATV tk through last 600m of tough veg to bridge at NN712154. A tough route on which to complete my Full House. Very obvious that very few folks come this way, not recommended. Perhaps folks now use the approach tk to the wind farm on the S flanks | Isbjorn | 23/09/2023 |
From Auchnashelloch Church CP to Auchnashelloch Hill, Am Beannan, Meall Clachach, Uamh Bheag, Beinn Odhar, Beinn na Eun and Cnoc Brannan. Grass, heather, peat hags. | sclater | 03/08/2023 |
Peat hags were not as bad as reported - probably as it was dry underfoot. The only cairn is 50 metres or more away from the highest point and not even were named on the map. | langskill | 26/05/2023 |
From mapped car park by the church (NN 7109 1609). Walked ~560m W along road to field gate, then Am Beanan, Meall Clachach, Uamh Bheag and the East Top first. On to Beinn Odhar and Beinn nan Eun and return for a 14.6km round. With DS. | jonglew | 06/02/2023 |
Collecting my final New Donalds on an overcast day with Martin66 & Smithy. Parked at church, through gate opposite & then crossed burn above ruins & straight up tedious grass slope to Beinn nan Eun. Followed small path & then grassy break through hags to Beinn Odhar. Walked on a bearing until top wind turbine appeared in mist & then handrailed fence on a small path, skirting bog at bottom to one side up to trig & then Uamh Bheag, my final New Donald. No view but sun trying to break through. Passed over true E top, down ENE spur crossing Allt Ollach high up & then directly across the boggy bealach on to W bank of Allt Mor to join the outward route. A shorter, boggy but feasible route of return with lots of small animal tracks to help. A long trip from Merrick at age of 14! | NotReallyABagger | 19/11/2022 |

Long walk in on wind farm road from Burn of Cambus to highest turbine. Maybe 200m of tough stuff then eased to top. Followed trenches down and then back up easily enough then was surprised to to much the same back to nearest turbine. Then long walk back. | SS | 27/04/2022 |
From Uamh Bheag, broadly followed fence line over pleasantly dry ground. | MichaelF | 02/04/2022 |
Easier than described by others as the ground was still partially frozen! Came over from Uamh Bheag E Top following the fence up to the highest windmill then across rough ground to the summit area. Solo. | Dangerous Dave | 05/03/2022 |
From Glen Artney, steep ascent up Am Beannan. Over to Meall Clachach and onto Uamh Bearg, boggy traverse to Being Odhar. At this point mist was so bad and time was pressing so we bailed Beinn Nan Run. Headed down and north as quickly as possible and ended up following streams back to Glen Artney. A very fraught day. | Longwojo | 14/11/2021 |

My sixth visit through the peat hags - my sanity must be in question. Still, now done for current round of the Donalds | Colin Crawford | 09/07/2021 |

Easiest to drop a little height to circumvent the peat bogs! | Belfarm | 30/08/2020 |
From the bridge at end of Glen Artney road. With B and R. | jenx | 07/08/2020 |
Parked at Glen Artney Church car park, then walked up Findhu Glen, then ascenting up Beinn nan Eun (no cairn only a wooden post). Over Beinn Odhar then up to Uamh Bheag to see the carved wood face! Descenting via Meall Clachach, I stupidly carried on down the north face of Am Beannan was far too steep for comfort.

The peat hags were extensive across the tops. Sunny intervals with a moderate breeze all day. | chillyman8 | 07/06/2020 |
From church car park in Glen Artney, W along road to bridge over Water of Ruchill, then across fields and up An Beannan, on to Meall Clachach, Uamh Bheag, then E to trig point and E top, then Beinn Odhar and Beinn nan Eun, descending N to bridge over river S of Auchnashelloch and back to car park | kdbennett | 21/03/2020 |
The 3rd of 4 on an anticlockwise circuit of the Donalds above Glen Artney. Parked in the church car park at 711461 & up Meall Clachan & Uamh Bheag. From Uamh Bheag, rough going over tussock, heather & rain-sodden groughs to the unmarked summit; took longer than expected. Continued to Beinn nan Eun. (S) | gerrybowes | 20/08/2019 |
Plodded up and down through trench-like peat hags - very tiring - coming from Uamh Bheag N top col to reach small cairn and searched N to determine BO summit, unmarked. Turned E then NE to go through more peat trenches, which weren't quite so difficult as those on S flank of BO, heading for Beinn nan Eun. More cloud moved in which held T down. first visit to BO, also solo, was on 17/10/2015. | jacobus | 08/07/2019 |
From church CP. Did after Cnoc Brannan & Beinn nan Eun. | duchally | 12/06/2019 |

From Glen Artney CP, round of Odhar, Eun, Oighreag and Brannan. | Topographer57 | 23/04/2019 |
From Glen Artney car park up Beinn Odhar and one way traverse over the higher hump summit, circuitous route to cross streams and up onto the TuMPs of Beinn Clack, the summit and the outlying NE lower TuMPs and 5 mile walk back along road in the dark. | vegibagger | 17/11/2018 |
Bagging the 2 Donald Tops from church carpark clockwise. Mostly surprisingly easy ground despite the peathags, just a couple of awkward bits. Some animal tracks and old quad tracks helped. | AndrewFinnimore | 06/10/2018 |
From Beinn nan Eun. Headed round the peat hags at the head of the corrie to the un-marked summit. Descended NW ridge, then back over Auchnashelloch Hill to the car park. Solo. | Man of Kernow1 | 11/06/2018 |
Alone, from Glen Artney church. | Grinner | 21/10/2017 |
From Glen Artney church via Beinn nan Eun. | Winterfloodian | 17/08/2017 |
On round of the Glen Artney Donalds | nickywood1 | 17/07/2017 |
Followed SMC Grahams and Donald circuit: Am Beannan - Meall Clachach - Uamh Bheag W and E tops - Beinn Odhar - Beinn nan Eun. Rime on the ground helped with the peatier sections. Otherwise Spring-like, with a skein of geese flying North, bright sun and a cloud inversion. | Nick Down1 | 21/01/2017 |
Weather fair. | MountainMac | 04/01/2017 |
5 of 7: From Uamh Bheag TP. | ChrisR | 28/10/2016 |
Long track walk in from Braco then animal trail link-up to windfarm road system. Short final ascent through peat hags from highest turbine. | Lindsay M | 10/07/2016 |
Route as per SMC Grahams & Donalds book. 7 hours for the circuit: hard going for most of the way with no paths to speak of and lots of peat hags. | TRG318 | 07/07/2016 |

From church cp. round of Beinn nan Eun, Uamh Beag etc. In a blizzard. | ngthack | 06/04/2016 |
Solo; continuation of circuit from Meall Clachach via Uamh Bheag and its two E tops, through very difficult peat hags approaching BO summit plateau - the final Donald Top! Dropped down through deep peat trenches and up similar to Beinn nan Eun, the final Donald. Sunny weather continued with only a little cloud forming in the afternoon. | seumas | 17/10/2015 |
