2nd hill of four today on my R01 Topo completion route from Hapton station to Whitworth climbing Great Hameldon and then continuing SW on an obvious track to an intersection of Footpaths at May road well, following fp Ese then boundary Wall South before cutting across to cross stream dropping into Mitchell's house reservoirs in an area known as Snipe Hole then across rough ground to meet Rossendale way following this to Sw edge of Goodshaw Hill before continuing on tricky fp through edge of Lane top Farm (with a vicious Airedale Terrier gnashing its teeth at my heels) continuing South across rough ground then Sse to reach Cribden Moor path beside wall, following this all the way to the summit-My GPs recorded 407m @ SD 79945 24040 but i visited both sides of the wall before heading down Ese to meet footpath dropping into Cribden End then footpath at head of several streams dropping steeply ENE. I used fp to pass beside a school then down Schofield road, Haslingden road to Rawtenstall st | Dazingdale | 10/12/2017 |

From church with tower in Rawtenstall, through streets, up bw to Cribden End. Farmer followed us through farmyard, hid in trees and shouted at us to follow waymarks (we were following path about 10m off official route). Good summit - seems more than P60. Barking dogs - nice cat. | Wycombe Wanderer | 23/07/2016 |

Parked off the lane near the path to The Halo sculpture at SD 79274 23575 - room for 3-4 cars. After visiting The Halo, took the lane and track east past the aerial, and then RoW over stile and steeply up by a wall to a small stile, then path north by another wall to the summit. With AT and JT. Repeated the ascent all the way from the car again, on realizing when we got back I'd left my GPS on the summit! Solo. | Man of Kernow1 | 20/09/2015 |
