On own. From Minninglow car park following High Peak Trail to Upperhouse Farm then footpath running W which crosses S side of summit. Deviate N through 2 field gates and into summit copse. Scruffy woodland and thick vegetation cover to mossy limestone pavement. Return same route.Beeliner11/08/2023
A 23 mile walk from the picnic area north of Brassington to reach five Ethel's Harboro rocks, Bolehill (Cromford moor), Blakelow hill (bonsall moor), Aleck low and Minninglow hill, with 3660ft of ascent, pub stop Winster after five hours.WAYNE ROWLETT17/06/2023
Parked at the junction of the A515 and the A5012. Walked down the A515 to path that takes you almost to summit. Visited trig and true summit, nice little walk. First of 3 Ethel's bagged on way to Ashbourne for a bank holiday weekend away.Lazylizzie29/04/2023
Minninglow and aleck from minninglow car park. First to minninglow, then back past the car and easy up and down aleck. Muck recently spread on field, so smelling pretty ripe, but no problems. 1hr 30 return, but pretty pacey to get back for paddling!Nicky C06/04/2023
Parked at Minninglow CP then followed the Pennine Bridleway until Upperhouse Farm then left on ROW to S of summit. Gap in DSW to N of field to the SW then gate to SW of the summit round copse which is otherwise surrounded by DSW and barbed-wire. Nice walk with Felix, Ptol and Dulcie. Still some snow in places!RoguePulsar18/03/2023

Parked on corner at SK16474 59226 then took fp past house due E. Rescued a sheep caught in fencing, crossed fields then turned N over gate to wooded area. Entered wood via gate then stumbled across overgrown limestone pavement + fought thru 6 foot nettles to summit! With MartJohn Eley28/08/2020
From r o w to south, from High Peak TrailCreakingHiker24/07/2020
Parked in layby by the houses at the start of fp to the west. There was obviously a fairly big building where the summit is. It is in a copse and there is a lot of rubble which is mostly covered by ground cover making it potentially ankle breaking.clivevilla15/06/2020
From foot path which crosses S side deviate N through 2 field gates and into summit copse. Scruffy woodland and mossy limestone pavement. No nettles this time of year. Disturbed Buzzard mewing noisily overhead.RichardM28/01/2020

Parked in Newhaven and headed along path at side or road S to Cardle View, although there were a couple of parking spaces here I could have used. Followed PRoW E through fields until S of summit, then used two metal gates to access the plantation. A small breach in the wall to the E of the plantation allowed access from there to the trig point and a further collapse of the wall to the S of the trig allowed access back into the field with the PRoW in.Wheelsy30/09/2018
Here for the trigpoint. TP:UK log: From N53° 07.801' W1° 45.267' (Ivy House) following ROW, then into field for trig and back to gate (N53° 07.941' W1° 44.593') to venture up to TUMP.thejackrustles08/07/2018
Small parking space by the postbox in front of the houses at Cardle View (alt 340m). Look hard for the unsigned footpath (immediately next to the keep Out notice on the access to the adjacent house). Follow the signed path actross a few fields and head upwards when the surrounding trees come into view. Found access across a weakness in the wall to the eastmoorsman08/03/2018

Parked on Biggin road. Via fp and then across field into wood. Treacherous underfoot with limestone pavement covered by undergrowth, mostly nettles.Campbell Singer11/10/2016
Parking on A515 by start of bridleway then footpath east past hungry sheep and over couple of gates into summit copse, then out on east side for trig.Mark Sims01/01/2016
- Park PlaFirst hill of six having got off the 442 bus from Ashbourne at the turning to Biggin so i walked along the A515 and then took the fp next to footpath that heads across the fields just lower down and was able to climb over two gates to enter wooded summit area. Summit is a limestone rock covered in nettles. Descended to Trig pillar and then a field took me back onto fp leading to the Pennine bridleway.Dazingdale04/06/2015
Parked on grass verge of A515 opposite public footpath at SK 16496 59240. Good path through fields then north to summit walled enclosure. Gate at SK 17269 59502.David Gradwell29/03/2015
A short diversion off path in the snow to visit trig first then the top.Father Ted08/02/2015
Gentle amble from W with footpath signs much of way. Visited oddly sited trig first, then into wood on top of hill. Unlike nearby Johnson's Knoll, this contained dense vegetation, especially nettles. At high point loose limestone rocks under the veg may be natural or the remnants of an old construction.Aye Jimmy26/09/2014
