From the east. Summit field had a family of a bull, a cow and three calves in it which was not a good combination. I walked along the fence well away from them and they did not bother.clivevilla15/06/2020

As others from access stile to SE. Parked on grass verge at SK 12402 63679.David Gradwell07/07/2019
10.8 mile circular from Parsley Hay, followed minor road and footpaths to Carder Low via Vincent House farm, from Carder Low followed footpath to Pilsbury Castle Hill then followed unofficial path through the access land to road at Crowdicote, from bend followed path up onto High Wheeldon (2nd time visited), then onto Aldery Cliff with easy access back to the road east, followed footpaths north-east to High Peak Trail then followed this back to Parsley Hay. Deep snow for majority of the walk, this looked amazing with the cloudless skies today, temperature ranging from 0 to -5 all day, with a cold wind.DanTrig02/02/2019
Pilsbury castle below is surprisingly impressive and unusual for Derbyshire. hazy views. possible tumulus in sheep pastureDenise 04/06/2018

Walked up after parking passed the farm with Martin.Dugswell204/11/2017
A nice circuit from Hartington on a hot day but with a cooling breeze. Carder Low climbed from the highest point of the footpath to the south, followed the wall up then hopped over the wall below the summit. Overgrown limestone pavement makes rough going back down to join the FP to Pilsbury Castle hill, easy stroll, good views. Down to Pilsbury on FPs and road, over the Dove and up FP to road, then via farm track and fields (gates) to Sheen Hill, the best of the 3 hills. Very nice walk back to Hartington, great views and very pastoral.Gill26/05/2017

On way home from watching Derby County beat Preston 2-1. Easy walk up from minor road to see the sun setting.Mark Sims12/09/2015
A bull and cows with calves -all watched me inquisitively then thankfully ambled away as I gave them a wide birth. Later I looked up the incredibly confusing legal situation re bulls on Rights of way ( access land here) from the BMC . It states that it is an offence to allow a bull over 10 months old and on its own to be at large in a field crossed by a r.o.w. It is also an offence to keep a bull of a recognised dairy breed (even if accompanied by cows/heifers) on land crossed by a r.o.w The exceptions are bulls not more than 10 months old, or bulls which are not of a recognised dairy breed (currently defined as Ayrshire, British Friesian, British Holstein, Dairy Shorthorn, Guernsey, Jersey and Kerry) and are accompanied by cows and heifers. In practice, it may be difficult for a user to know whether bulls will be likely to be dangerous or not, and farmers should, wherever possible, not keep bulls in fields crossed by r.o.w.Chris Pearson26/07/2015

2nd Hill of the day after Carder Low on circular from Hartington. I stayed at Hartington YHA, Beautiful sunny crisp January day. Walked up to Summit from access stile next to minor road on SE corner. No problems and as other hillbaggers have stated, it has some nice Limestone outcrops and even pavement. As with other hills in the Dove valley, great views and scenery especially to the limestone reef knolls of Chrome Hill and Parkhouse hill.Dazingdale19/01/2014
