Easy parking in wide track entrance NW of Quebec at 071163 - NE & then SE along concreted track to track junction at SE 07430 16327 - Turned left & NE along track past a large standing stone (fine viewpoint) to gate into pasture - Continued NE alongside fence to wooden fencing in field corner & then 20m or so to trig point. | gerrybowes | 29/11/2023 |
Parked near Quebec. Up footpath to edge of plantation then anticlockwise circuit - kept straight up along side of quarry then left through fields to trig and hp. Over fence to path leading back to monument which provided welcome shade whilst eating lunch. Good views very hot. Finished water but lady in garden at Quebec refilled water bottle for me and little lad in garden squirted me with hose pipe. 5/7 | Nick Canute | 10/06/2023 |
Visited the summit as part of a walk from Golcar with Alma Aurea. Accessed from the nearest footpath on the way in, but you can cross the field to the other ROW without crossing any fences. /D | meltdiceburg | 26/05/2023 |

From footpath to SE with Miranda. Two small wind turbines and two large. No wind whatsoever and yet one large turbine was turning fast. Then the other started turning but facing the opposite direction. When I drove past again two hours later they were still turning and facing opposite directions. Motorized wind turbines? | Wycombe Wanderer | 03/08/2019 |
Parked to the NE is dead-end road at SE079171. Public footpath, not shown on map, takes you around the edge of the summit field to within 20 yards of the trig. | David Evans | 09/06/2019 |
With Dazzy. Was on wrong side of the barbed wire fence. Didn't want to break the countryside code. Consider that we were close enough. | Joolz500 | 20/01/2019 |
From Quebec Road. Large entrance to quarry useful for parking. Good road (concrete) but covered in black ice and treacherous. Icy mud OK as I had left my boots at home. | Campbell Singer | 09/01/2018 |

Parked at entrance to SW, took footpath then track by quarry eventually leading to summit field. Trig and surrounding flat field. | RobertP | 15/10/2017 |
Parking in the large entrance just north of the Quebec Physiotheraphy centre (alt 312). An easy path leads you right up to the field with the radio station in it. As you enter this field head diagonally across at 10 o'clock to an obvious break in the wall. Step over a fence to the summit. 2km return. 35 minutes. | moorsman | 19/02/2017 |
From Quebec Road quarry entrance, saw man in the field by the trig - couldn't tell if it was farmer or fellow bagger so continued along to masts and took path north. Wall in this field is down so no barbed wire or gates to worry about! | the_adam | 26/11/2016 |
3rd hill of four today on a route from Lightbridge road in Huddersfield's suburb to Slaithwaite station, climbing Fixby Ridge and Old Lindley Moor and then through Outlane before taking lane over Motorway and then branching off on fp that climbs up the hill abd where it goes over the wall i headed direct for the Trig pillar and summit. Clouds threatening on the horizon. Used track to descend through the 'White Rose Forest and had packed lunch at the large rock inscribed with a psalm before continuing on to my last hill of the day. | Dazingdale | 19/11/2016 |
Parked at triangle above Scapegoat hill - approached via Kirklees Way - masts then a short hop around the edges of the field boundaries to bag the summit and trig. You can see a long way from here in all directions. Warm cloudy grey with the threat of rain, a strong breeze and the smell of elderflower bushes scenting the air. | briandavies | 10/07/2016 |
