An evening walk up to the summit on a circular walk from the Castleshaw car park to see the sunset.meltdiceburg06/02/2023
Quick trip from home to catch the sun. However the track was very muddy following a night of rain.GordonAdshead09/02/2022

16:00, warm and sunny, calm, from Slaithwaite with Miranda. Along the cut to Hey Green, over Little Moss and Castleshaw Moor, then Moor Lane. Unexpectedly fine views of hill country all around. On to Badger Edge.Wycombe Wanderer25/04/2020

Parked at free car park for the Roman Fort (which I couldn't find) then past Lower Reservoir and cut directly up hill crossing a few barbed wire fences and Broad Lane en route. Fine views from summit:shame its not a tump. Done with Lucky (dog).John Eley28/10/2018

From ssw, pleasant stroll before heading home after a day Up NorthRHW25/09/2016
Not far off the track, parked at the pub.bluewater24/05/2016
From the hamlet of The Heights : just a remote pub: Royal Oak - no pub sign-more like a house - do they do much business? Opposite the impressive church which is locked (key from pub). The churchyard and graveyard were featured in the film The Parole Officer starring Steve Coogan. Dead end road then track high above the the reservoirs.Chris Pearson05/08/2015
Harrop Edge - Standedge - Ox Hey Top - Dale. Up Broad Lane from the 5 path junction, under fence into a field in access land then left over another fence to the highest point a short way along. I thought it to be a very fine viewpoint for the area, almost entirely surrounded by higher hills.Jake99418/02/2015
Parking between reservoirs at New Year's Bridge. F/p leads off, not easily seen at first so keep level and R of the open trees. Better track then leads up hill to multi junction, easily to summit in open field.Aye Jimmy16/09/2014
clear, sunny, cool wind. done with Badger Edge, Harrop Edge & Crompton Moor from Grains Bar.joseph mitchell14/11/2013
Parked on rough verge by A640 at SD 98310 10518 (280m) Across reservoir dam then Oldham Way up to juction of five tracks/paths. Turned left here on Broad Lane (track). Climbed easy fence for last bit to summit at SD 98653 09880 (no feature: ground 8m SE of wall). I'm logging this hill even though I'm 99% certain it doesn't meet the required drop of 30m for Tump status. There is a 339m spot height at the col and definitely no lower ground so I don't know where the col height of 337m comes from? If the summit really is 367m (another inspired guess?) the drop is only 28m.David Gradwell30/06/2013
