From Elton, on a blisteringly hot day. Up the footpath running up the west side, then off piste to the top, and back down the road. Shorts not recommended, lots of stinging nettles. Route not recommended either, too much barbed wire and mine spoil to negotiate. No point being purist, just bag it from the road. Carried on to Anthony Hill, which is much, much better.Gill25/05/2017
As CS. A circular walk from Elton. Gratton Moor first then anti clockwise finishing on Blake Low. Great view on a sunny day like today.Moorponder04/05/2017

A wildlife haven around trig with very long grass and thistles among the hollows with brashings placed to encourage insects and wildlife. A display board on the roadside explains lead mining sites close by.Chris Pearson10/08/2015
