Ceres walk circle from The Kirk to Glen Vale then back via Easter Balgedie. 12KPlay2End16/03/2024
Scotlandwell to Gateside walk. Bus stopped on request at steps into woods, then selection of well-used paths to the top. I kept to the left to make most of hazy views over Loch Leven. From the top, I headed down towards West Lomond.the pigguy 07/03/2024

Large car park in Kinnesswood at NO 1775 0292 (entrance is via Bishop Terrace) - Up path past water tank & up wooden steps to junction - Opted to use a slight variation of a 'walkhighlands' descent route so turned left & made way NW on Michael Bruce Way to gate at 180037 - Headed above gorse to join track on bend at 180039 & then up to junction 183041 - Sharp left to gate in field corner & path up to cairn & grass mound. Not a good option - Would have been better ascending via White Craigs.gerrybowes22/09/2022
From CP in Kinnesswood adjoining Bishop Terrace. A good, though steep path leads straight up to the escarpment, then it's easy walking along the escarpment edge and by a clear path beyond a gate to Bishop's Hill. I returned by the Easter Balgedie path and a descending traverse initially along a grassy ramp to a waymarked section of the Michael Bruce Way that leads back to the ascent path at the top of the wooden steps.Nick Down105/06/2022

From Holl Reservoir. Nice circular walk, light covering of snow, very cold strong wind on the top, great views. Not sure I would want to do this route when the track is not frozen - could be very boggy in places.nicolajane06/01/2022

From Kinesswood. Parked in church car park. Upthrough delightful mixed wood forest. On the tops. V windy. Boggy mushy in parts. Return same way.VerySlowPlodder09/11/2021
Started at church carpark in Portmoak near Scotlandwell (NO182019). Entered Kilmagad Woodland Trust property that is just over the road from the carpark. Paths in wood are not all marked on the Explorer map but there is a map board once you enter the wood. Followed path up hill to exit woodland trust property at NO185026. Followed winding track across. Followed path up to white crags then followed a winding track across hill side to summit rather than bush whack a direct route. Attempted to find signposted route down to Kinesswood but wasn't clear and edge seemed a bit too exciting so followed around back to woodland trust land and down. Overall - great walk with mixed woodland, open fell and excellent views of Loch Leven.Danmawr22/08/2021

From West Lomond. Steeply down south west. Then up good track east of Glen Vale that becomes more circuitous than the path shown on OS 1:25000 map. Passed disused quarries reaching ridge at 400m contour. Then south to summit. KeithByTheC03/07/2021
Holl reservoir car park at 224034. Straightforward walk west through West Feal. Follow path to gate on SW side of summit as the fence will give you a shock in the wrong place! Wonderful views south. Solo.bolton06/06/2021

From Portmoak Church CP up steps and then good path to golf ball; mist across to true summit but plenty of well worn tracks. Returned same way.SS05/10/2019
From Holl Reservoir, via West Feal.Winterfloodian29/08/2019
Parked at portmoak Church and walked back down road to Scotlandwell to pick up the foot path (stairs) Up through the wood and out on to open moorland then climb up past large 'golfball'. At the signposted three way junction ignored all signs and entered field through a pedestrian gate. Crossed the filed and eventually found an insulated stile over the electric fence with a path that led to summit. Hot and fly-infested through the wood but pleasant and airy nearer the top.Jubilado12/08/2019
Up from just north of farm with unfriendly to walkers sign. Decent steep grassy hillside climb.willyross10/05/2019
From Holl Reservoir, parking at NO 224035. Up farm roads W to West Feal, then along forest green lane to a 3 way signpost who's fingers do not seem to line up particularly well with any path - go through the galvanised gate here (muddy) and a well defined ATV track leads directly towards the top. Pleasant and easy shallow angled route for old knees, no steepnossity until the last 100m, and a 200m bonus start, but you might find that the farm tracks seem interminable on the way back.Isbjorn21/03/2019
After racing to W Lomond decoided to bag Bishop Hill as it was clear and weather looked to hold. Got to cairn a quick few pics of views then back to car. The whole walk only took 2hours 30 mins. Lovely walk would repeat. Company: Soloiandesbottes16/01/2019

West Lomond, via the Bunnet Stone, up the path and then off piste direct to the top, to beat the rain. On to Bishop Hill, then down Glen Vale, which is really, really lovely, Short road walk to finish, with views of harvested and ploughed fields. Nice.Gill11/09/2017
From West Lomond over variable ground, paths, heather and long wet grass. Cloud had cleared on reaching summit but a squall was approaching over Loch Leven. Back via Kilmagad Wood and Kinnesswood.Windy Corner16/07/2017
Straightforward from Bishop Terrace in KinnesswoodAlan Moore24/05/2017
Fascinating walk from W Lomond, via features such as Devils Burdens before, finally, a beeline to the col. Then kept approx W over the easiest terrain to get onto the N ridge which had a track, good views and was nice. Rather blundered into an ascent like Gayleybird's to return to Craigmead, just beating the rain.pwheeler22/03/2017
