Parked at the pond to the NE and followed road SE to track, then ascended this to its highest point. Metal gate allowed access to field and highest point was about 100m into it.Wheelsy29/09/2018
Parked by the picnic area at the road junction to the north east (alt 295m) . Over the gate and a straightforward walk to the top. Fence to climb to enter the summit field. 800m return .. 15 minutes.moorsman08/03/2018

A straight track to rough grassland (gate) above the pretty touristy village of Hartinton with village green and duckpond lying on the River Dove. Until 2009 Hartington was the supplier of 25% of the world output of Stilton cheese until bought out and closed down by a rival with the loss of 190 jobs, but in 2012 a small dynamic and entrepreneurial group of 5 have set up a new company called the Hartington Creamery.Chris Pearson26/07/2015
Last hill of 5 today starting at Tissington and ending at YHA Hartington; Reynards cave,Hawks low,Johnson's Knoll,Wolfscote hill and from Reynards lane took track heading NE and then NW onto Highfield lane.Climbed over wall and walked on E side abd then under barbed wire fence sandwiches a dry stone wall;Jumped over this and located summit which is a broad grassy knoll. Returned to trail by gate continuing onto Hartington.Took fp arriving at High Cross,close to YHA Hartington.Dazingdale18/01/2015
