Nearby woods popular with locals. Domed summit field has horses and electric fence. HP unclear, wall by mapped SH has gone and this seems lower than wall with copse at NE corner/ side of field. Grey day. From Thurstonland. | Denise | 27/01/2023 |

Space for a car or two due south on the minor road. Take the path behind the seat as this requires crossing only a single, easy wall. Summit now in the middle of the field as the fence/wall shown on the map has now been removed. | moorsman | 08/05/2018 |

Pleasant open woodland from SW then very flat summit, visiting various options for high point (a case of take your pick). | RobertP | 16/07/2017 |
A 'summit' not worthy of the name. Only justification for an 'ascent' would be a 'visit' en-route between Thurstonland Hill and Castle Hill (both good hills). In doing so, use the superb distinct permissive path (not marked on map) which follows the zig-zag woods from Hall Ing Road (SE161115)to Farnley Tyas village. From this you can hop over the wall at 16072 11592 and choose your own highest blade of grass! | Neil Midgley | 19/02/2017 |
From Brockholes, along railway footpath then up the hill. Through woods to field and flat summit. | eyesofthenorth | 01/01/2017 |
