7 of 10 as part of 27 mile bike ride. From bemersley road over fence left bike in the ditch then 10 mins return to the summit in field | The-Z-Man | 13/01/2024 |
From the north, along the footpath. | Andrew Pearson | 18/04/2023 |
Parked up at Greenbank country park then took footpath into Dallows Wood and where it exits again i headed straight up under a bwf and then not far away, reached summit in lush grass. I did have a longer circuit planned but due to time constraints in getting back for a play at Long Eatons Duchess Theatre with partner I decided to return by the same route. Greenbank car park is a good location and i used one of their picnic tables for a last drink before heading back. | Dazingdale | 01/04/2023 |
From north, via footpath. Nice sunny day. | Nick Canute | 17/04/2022 |
Lush grass well visited by the muck speader -just waiting for the winter cows to be released. Fp from N by Knypersley Resr where I once climbed some tradional routes (i.e thrutchy V Diffs) on the green unpopular gritstone crag hidden in the trees. Much more impressive further N on a high ridge spur are the big bold Wicken Stones but with access issues for boulderers. The infant Head of Trent river flows down the east side on this hill on its long journey to The Humber. | Chris Pearson | 30/03/2022 |
Parked in Greenway Bank Country Park (free and busy). Walked south via pleasant Dallows Wood to indistinct point in slightly domed grassy and squelchy field. Extensive views including of Mow Cop. | Denise | 27/12/2020 |
Field path S from Greenway Bank Country Park, through wooded dell then fields of pasture - 2 gates to summit field. Levelish very wet squelchy pasture after the recent heavy rain. Farmland views, Mow Cop Castle to NW. | RichardM | 27/12/2020 |
