Hills around glowed in the low sun. HP in corner of grassy field. Awkward access with walls and streams.Denise 01/02/2021
Up the steep NE shoulder then over the plateau pastures. The most awkward hill of the day with stream and several fences to cross. Good views warmed by the lowering afternoon sunlight.RichardM01/02/2021
Cleggswood Hill, Hollingsworth Hill, Heights Barn Hill, Dick Hill and Moy Hill. 4 hour round from Hollingsworth.Longwojo02/01/2021
15:00, 22 degrees, sunny, easterly breeze. From lane to NE with Bag For Life. On to Hollingworth Hill.Wycombe Wanderer30/05/2020
Beautiful countyside, a bit like France, with people eating lunch at tables outside - hot sunny day with pleasant breeze. Through a wood - what's wrong with the oak trees?Bag For Life30/05/2020
Summit seemed into the field rather than by the wall.Adrian27/04/2019
Parking at the northern end of the public car park (£2). From here a stoned track leads along the base of the hill following the western side of the river. Follow this and find a suitable point to head uphill, crossing the easy BWF to the summit. No river or stepping stones to crossmoorsman07/03/2019
Parking to the south at the visitor centre for Cleggswood Hill and Hollingworth Hill.David Evans18/02/2019
Highlight of the day, last of four hills in winter conditions- Heights Barn Hill, Dick Hill, Hollingworth Hill and Cleggswood Hill. Mart spotted a herd of five roe deer in the snow. Superb despite ripping my down jacket climbing a bwf!!!John Eley03/02/2019
Followed in Carole Engel’s footsteps.Campbell Singer02/09/2018

Parked for free on the road at SD 93595 15580 then used gates and over a couple of fences to gain summit of Cleggswood Hill. Then on towards Hollingworth Hill using gates from the bridleway to the south. Then onward to Heights Barn Hill via footpaths then onto Dick Hill via bridge over motorway. A great 4 Tump walk in a very popular area.Dugswell204/02/2017
1st of 5 hills today on a route from Littleborough station to Milnrow (stopping at an Airbnb host). Took towpath to the next lock then over wall, profiling round Alpaca enclosure, climbing fence at top and then another to reach large field and summit appears to be beside fence a few metres Sw from Northern corner. Descent South to reach double fence and then sliver of woodland before reaching footpath (Rochdale way) close to a picnic site beside a pond.Dazingdale03/12/2016
2nd attempt, this time successful from Hollingworth Lake. did this after doing Blake Moor & Snoddle Hill earlier todayjoseph mitchell09/06/2015

Parked roadside N of lake, walked ESE then NNE past visitor centre. Summit then back via Hollingworth HillRHW02/11/2014
Carpark (modest fees) at NE of Hollingsworth Lake, busy Bank Holiday! Up through wood above c/p, over barbed fences, farm(?) to S. Summit by wall about 30m N of tree. BEST WAY to avoid fences, go NE out of c/p along track for 0.8km to end of wood, cross beck by stepping stones (as mentioned by Jake994) at gate 200m before house, follow wall up hill. Through gate at top and along wall.Aye Jimmy03/05/2014
Direct from the stepping stones to the east. Didn't have any problems apart from crossing a fence. Being snug in the corner of the hills, it's a fantastic viewpoint.Jake99411/06/2009
