Thought Nest Crescent unlikely to trigger 70m on summit bagger so went around opposite side to access from Derby Rd via a track and aggressive scrub, until up to security fence to clinch it. | visionset | 24/08/2023 |

Parking on the main road or down Nest Avenue. Unclimbable security fence so road appears to be the closest accessible point to the summit | moorsman | 15/03/2022 |
Settled for HP outside the now innaccesible fenced off area. Fence and gate very difficult to climb and in full view of main road. Unsure if trig point is even there any more. Possibly the worst TUMP I have visited so far haha. Worthless and ugly - a Trump rather than tump. | Nick Canute | 07/02/2022 |
Parked in Nest Avenue. Had a wander around and went to entrance to reservoir compound. | PGCE | 21/12/2021 |
The high point does not live up to its name. One to do quickly if passing through. | JohnW | 07/11/2021 |
Walked up Nest Avenue and into field near south end of compound. Calling it a bag. | Wycombe Wanderer | 14/08/2021 |

Nest Avenue possibly, although couldn't resist accessing the old covered resr compound for the trig pillar. | jonglew | 20/07/2019 |
Contractors well on with building large new reservoir on SE side of hill. Well run site office where permission to visit trig pillar on old redundant reservoir given - partly escorted. Impressed to meet with such a helpful and common sense approach. | RichardM | 15/01/2019 |
5 of 7 on brilliant 37.3 mile bike ride. Enjoyed this one. Including Mansfield colliery, silverhill, newton Wood Lane and the boundary, robin hoods hill, Mansfield hill and welbeck colliery. Noticed there didn’t seem to be any workers around but plenty of vans. Snuck through and opened gate to reach summit trig. Stealth mode | The-Z-Man | 28/09/2018 |
Sunny. | Dugswell2 | 02/09/2018 |
Gates to STW company locked when I arrived. Went around to Nest Crescent also | dazedemon | 13/05/2018 |

bagged in passing. | simonshrewsbury | 01/04/2018 |
Fortunately two guys from the reservoir compound just came out and opened the gate and were quite happy for me to go in to the top of the reservoir to view the pillar. | vegibagger | 08/02/2018 |
Result! Was driving past on the way to bag some hills near Nottingham and noticed the gates to the compound were open. Parked up nearby and wandered in to trig point on top of second reservoir. Severn Trent worker was sat in a van nearby and must of seen me but probably couldn't be bothered to get out because it was chucking it down. In and out of compound in less than a minute anyway. | Wheelsy | 05/01/2018 |
Visited various contenders for high point. | David Evans | 27/12/2017 |

Didn't try entering the locked compound. It seems to me that the high point is either on Nest Avenue or the verge of Diamond Avenue. It would be difficult to tell without measuring, but little would be gained other than pedantic knowledge ! | Moorponder | 25/03/2017 |

Looks like this one might be subject to change. | ngthack | 06/03/2016 |
Could be the HP of Nest Avenue. | Campbell Singer | 02/02/2016 |
2nd hill today with my partner's Labradoodle, Lexi Rue, after climbing Ramsdale Hill nr Calverton, we took a long route via Sansom wood then into old railway cutting for a mile before taking
the Robin Hood wayto B683 through estate to Linby, Linby trail, Newstead then country park to A611 Cutting across field to compounded area. Walked alongside and then back to road and up Diamond avenue to view area through gates. Went up Nest avenue to highest point. I wouldnt be surprised if highest point lay further N in the Coxmoor plantation! | Dazingdale | 18/01/2016 |
Main road with high point and trig inaccessible inside fenced compound. High point could however well be on main road or adjacent side road. The name -a popular Nottinghamshire theme - seems to apply to the steeper slopes rising up from the SE in Newstead Eco Country Park (reclaimed form old coal mining spoil) | Chris Pearson | 08/08/2015 |
No entry today; took pictures of the front gates and visited Nest Crescent. | Aye Jimmy | 22/05/2015 |
Early morning fog meant an 'explore' in the reservoir was possible, but to be honest the roads to the west - Nest Avenue / Crescent - seem equally high. Not a great enough hill for me to spend any more time on. | DanHolme | 31/12/2014 |

Agree with Adrian, quite a few candidates. We need to discover a trimblaholic based in England if we're ever going to find a definitive answer | Bramley | 09/10/2014 |
Viewed resr. compound and trig from adjoining house - resident allowed me to view from bedroom window. | carole engel | 09/09/2014 |
Various candidates. Main road may have it but also waterboard area and Nest Avenue. | Adrian | 21/07/2014 |
