Hmmm. Happened to be in area so walked up from road down to A38 roundabout. A fair on the 'summit' area.steveb200619/10/2022
Hard to say exactly where the natural HP of Ripley is but somewhere near the square/ road. There's a convenient carpark. Somewhat unsatisfying but an easy tick.Denise 13/10/2022
Pulled up beside summit and nipped out for a quick bag.PGCE27/07/2022

after 28 years of using the A38 as my route to and from York and Celtenham, I've finally remembered to detour off to Ripley where I recalled the town square car park just happened to be the highest point of a TuMP summit. here at last and pleased to find a Co-op food shop at garage coming up the hill from NW to spend £20 of food vouchersvegibagger20/07/2017
A hill summit in a town centre car park. This was a really easy bag.Neil Haslewood12/07/2017

An 'Alpine start' from Birmingham for this one, summitted 09:30 by cycle on a grey and damp morning. Ground below lamp post at bend in Slack Lane seemed the high point. Car park kerb is higher but kerbs don't count. Celebrated the ascent with excellent bacon roll and coffee at Greggs in town centre.RichardM07/02/2017
Could be car park or junction of South Place and Slack Lane. Felt a bit overdressed in walking gear and a rucksack.Wheelsy02/09/2016

1st hill f four on walk from my house in Aspley, Nottingham to Matlock bath. Approached from Slack lane and wondered around the Thorn tree pub. Highest reading was in car park near edge however it looks like highest point might be just. behind the pub.Dazingdale14/09/2014
A back street in Ripley - that's living the mountain high life! Actually I think Slack Lane might be slightly higher, or the council steps on the market place. Whichever - it's not exactly Everest...DanHolme01/06/2013
