Apparently the woods at the top are the nesting site of rare birds. The farmer told me this and forebade from going up but said I could walk round the other side. I did this and found myself only one field away from the top. Mistake. I got to about a yard from the trig and he came running round the corner very angry. Still, it is flat and I got to the GR given so decided I could count it. He will not be very receptive to anybody else for a while.clivevilla09/11/2023

Roadside parking at field entrance to NW (SK 6320 5406). RoW initially, then veered off at the GOML signs to follow edge of woodland to mast and trig pillar. Wandered around at the top, 120m or so S looking for the supposed HP; needs an abney as my eye couldn't tell where it was.jonglew05/02/2020

Climbed as part of Robin Hood way trail, starting from Portland school on A60 and finishing at Southwell (Brackenhurst College). I saw Weasels near the Summit and not long after taking a pic of the trig I was escorted off by the landowner who is keen to point out that this is private land. Of course Robin Hood Hill and the Iron age hill fort nearby have much better views to the undulating farmland below.Dazingdale18/08/2012
