Up edge of forestry and tussocky grass to avoid construction machineryPeteF18/03/2024
From Douglas Westhummusg01/10/2023
Up and down windfarm track. A bit of work underway just now, looks like the triffids are actually being dismantled and removed.colazione15/08/2023
Parked in the small space opposite Monksfoot, walked east along the A70 to the gate beyond the Podowrin Burn bridge, took the zigzag track up Longhouse Hill, going through a gate and over a bwf to the summit. Down to the burn, crossing at a convenient stone, and up the WF track to Arrarat Hill's summit. Then north on the track and east across the top of the Podowrin Burn to more WF tracks and Common Hill's summit trig and summit. Back west, over the burn again and along more WEF tracks to the control centre and the track running south up Hareshaw Hill. I followed the wall from the next turbine down to the track by Monks Water. Aquatic and tussocky away from the tracks.Nick Down131/12/2022
Very close to a wind farm track, so easy to access.Tisteln08/11/2022
Straight up and down the wind farm track from Douglas West.Owen B25/09/2022
Parked near the entrance to Hagshaw windfarm. Really wanted to do Nutberry first but road closed due to major construction. So did Common hill hoping to find a backdoor entrance down, but with a pair of binos I saw large cranes on Nutberry. and decided to abandon that for next year. Common Hill easy, you can actually see the trig point from a distance if you look hard. Top is right next to a wind turbine.Jhimmy17/09/2022
Easy parking opposite (former?) Outdoor Centre in Douglas West - Up wind farm tracks to summit on W. side of track & then a short walk across to trig point on E. side.gerrybowes10/08/2022

From Douglas West. Busy wind farm road. Friendly foreman wanted to know where I was going before happily allowing me through the gate. Other vehicles stopped me later to check I had spoken with him for permission to be there. Easy walk up and back. Solo.Dangerous Dave01/03/2022

From Douglas West (near Outdoor Centre) wind farm tracks to trig and higher point indicated by Hill Bagging grid reference. Was second attempt at this summit having been turned back last year by workers being evacuated because of lightning. Worth bearing in mind to avoid in such conditions.Neil Midgley10/09/2020
3rd of 3 today. Up from small car park at West Douglas. Road all way to summit then over to trig.Dont cut corner as I did, keep to road. Good views of my first Marilyn, Tinto, 65 years ago. 100 minsCoinneach29/08/2020
Straight forward 5.3 miles hike up and down wind farm service road from West Douglas. Turn off for summit on access road to turbines 8 & 9, 18 - 21. Went to trig first then noticed higher ground other side of road to the west. Seemed possible this is higher as a result of earth being moved for turbine so returned to road by walking over ground slightly further west. Well and truly bagged.mntainman01/08/2020
Up from West Douglas on windfarm track. Ice chunks flew off one of the turbines around us. Sign near start did warn us!willyross27/01/2020

Parked at the beginning of the windfarm track at NS 82076 31026 and took the track up over Arkney Hill and Henry's Hill to the summit and the trig point. Returned the same way. Be careful of ice flying off the turbine blades. With AT and JT.Man of Kernow112/12/2015
With Jenx, parked above the now abandoned field centre. Took the track all way to the trig by road. Cut directly back north to the road to speed the way back. Wind turbines are pretty unpleasant on the route, many swirling blades overhead along the track make this an endurance epic. Warnings of ice falling off along the route are somewhat disconcerting!nordicstar24/11/2015
From West Douglas road end. Not a great hill.jenx24/11/2015
