Couldn't take the shortest route from the highest point in the lane as there was a crop in the field, so parked by a gate due north of the summit and followed a track, then hedgerows to the summit.Wycombe Wanderer01/05/2022
This field top hill should never had made it onto hb as according to its change log it was included in 2014 despite the col not being found. Not only that but now the col has been identified Cat's Hill has been found to be overtopped by the slightly higher Rogeley Hill 4km east...but neither of them still have a p30 drop. (Rogeley Hill apparently appeared briefly on the hb database but has disappeared again with no trace as its P29.7). Despite this -if its on hb some of us will still climb everything listed hence the regular addition of muddy footprints around the field margins here to visit this un top (whilst the higher and greater prominence Rogeley Hill goes unvisited). A nice little anomaly.Chris Pearson30/03/2022
Snowy ascent along field boundaries and over bridge from Brockton Lane to NE, parking on verge to S of Brockton Hall entrance. HP is at field edge near gatepost to NW of small wooded escarpment. Nice view in pink skies.Denise 02/01/2021
In the snow from the NW along field edges. Rail sleeper fence post at summit. Pale grey views of snow covered fields under now dark skies.RichardM02/01/2021
I walked along the road to the gate at the highest point. Unfortunately I couldn't see a way across the large field of yellow, and I didn't want to get into trouble so I've decided that was close enough. I also walked to the closest point on the path to the south about a month ago.Alancache02/05/2019
Parked nr Brockton Brook. Approached from N. 33m ascent.RoguePulsar28/08/2018

Parked at road summit. No one around.Alan Caine28/10/2017
Parked next to gate on minor road to Brockton. Over two harvested fields. I think the farmer was busy elsewhere .Campbell Singer23/08/2017
From Coombesdale hill via Brockton to enable me to sneak up on the hill. Hid the bike in the hedge then across and along field margins, keeping low to ensure discretion. Mucky pool below summit. A fair view no doubt..just not today.. No issues with confrontations. Now just the small matter of getting back to Stafford. 5 tumps / 80km circuit.stig_nest28/03/2017

Eight short Staffordshire Tump walks today, with drives between. Parked on verge at high point of road. Short walk across field and beside hedge to summit.davidpettit8428/01/2017
From high point on road to ne but there was a crop in the field and no edge to walk round so I had to go downhill on the road and work my way back up again.clivevilla16/07/2016
Same approach as ngthack. Was admonished by farmer at the top who came racing up on his tractor. 'What are you doing? This is private land. How would you like it if I were to walk through your garden?'Aye Jimmy20/03/2016
Parked on minor road. Over gate, across field of kale, through gap in hedge & low bw fence. Along field edge to summit.ngthack18/11/2015
