Logged Descriptions  (logged by 32 users)ByDate of Ascent
From Whitchurch along canal to Willeymoor Lock, FP + Bishop Bennet Way to Wirswall, lanes to Norbury Hill then back along canal. Norbury Hill - gap in fence round trig seems to have been 'repaired'.TK12/01/2024
Roadside pull-in at spot height 94 on he OS map. High hedges give valuable cover as you cross to the top of the first field. Cross into the second field to access the summit.moorsman06/09/2023
From west, no fence climbing required.Wycombe Wanderer03/11/2020
From south, very wet.fasgadh23/02/2020
From south. Trig on very small reservoir easily accessible from break in fence on both side.vegibagger13/04/2019
Quick dash across grassy field to trig on top of water tank enclosed in spiked cast iron railings, appeared to be on natural HPDenise 13/01/2019
From lane to E. A slip while crossing the water tank fence could be very nasty!RichardM13/01/2019
Roadside verge parking (SJ 5499 4722). Up through a sheep pasture to a small disused covered reservoir with trig pillatr atop.jonglew23/11/2018
From lane to west- over gate and up round field edgeMark Sims03/10/2018
Parked on grass verge, over gate and into field and through gate next to top.Campbell Singer17/10/2017
Cycled from Cholmondeley Castle. Wish I'd read the logs about the gap in the iron railings. The compound was so overgrown I couldn't see the gap. Natural looking high point to SE much more pleasant. Risked impaling myself climbing over with assistance from tree.Minto20/08/2017
Parked on verge over gate up field then under gate and under fence then round the back of the reservoir compound to bag the trig.Dugswell216/03/2017
1st hill of three today, on a long walk from the Hough B&B, SE of Malpas. Route: B535, Branching off to follow the Bradley Brook, crossing to meet fp at SJ355466, past Bradley brook hamlet, over dismantled railway then on fp SE, over A41,SE to meet Sandstone trail, past Moorside farm on Bishop Bennet way then short stretch to Llangollen canal (permissive path although I took Rh side-less boggy) to Steer Bridge. Took minor road Nw and just past small pond, over gate and straight up, over fence to rustic reservoir with opening at the back. Took picture of some bright orange fungi on tree at base before heading SE to gate and minor road to make a loop of it, using Fp near Horse Green Farm to return to Steer Bridge.Dazingdale26/02/2017
Parked on verge about 20 yards NW of access gate at start of walk. Clamber over gate and head Eastish to high point. Access to trig point around back of very old overgrown compound.David Evans03/12/2016
For trig. Bit of an unusual place.stig_nest07/03/2016
From lane to W, gate then hedge line round to another gate at top, then left round back of structure. Gap in railings, trig S4754 on top.Aye Jimmy14/01/2016
Part of the metal fence is now missing round the back so the trig can now be visited.clivevilla02/12/2015
Highest point is trig perched on top of small man-made structure in enclosure (reservoir) at field corner, though clearly man made. Quite flat - highest natural ground may be just to SERobertP18/01/2015
