A popular park with families, children and dog walkers - especially on a hot August day. A well maintained Green Flag Award winning park with open grass and steep wooded slopes. wooded hill, summit has ferns and bracken | Adrian | 28/09/2014 |
Today i climbed the Bramcote Hills and this was the 2nd after Burnt hill. I locked my bike next to the Bramcote park playground close to coventry lane and headed up on steep footpath joining Robin Hood way. I veered off where a tree had fallen over next to a fence and climbed up through the trees to the summit plateaux; an area of indistinguishable level-ish ground with birch oak, bracken and bramble hiding possible summit points. I meandered around this area to maximise my chances and descended the same way. Next stop Stapleford hill | Dazingdale | 16/11/2013 |
Avoiding low-flying cricket balls, I walked up past the walled gardens and onto the vague summit. Did a figure of 8 through the woods which took in all contenders for high point. | DanHolme | 15/06/2013 |
