From parking at South Lodge, NE and about at bend to N took grassy track ENE as described, and following outside the (new) deer fence to the summit area. High point on track seemed to be as high as the open land inside the fencehenryfm30/01/2021
On my own. Parked at lodge on A60, followed Fp/ robin Hoods way, then branch off as described in post previous to mine. Summit large levelish area, looks like it has been prepared for new tree planting.alwaysinshorts16/01/2021
Ample parking at South Lodge. Pass through the wood entrance gate and turn immediately left to follow a broad woodland path heading north. After about 200m a path diverts off to the right through a clearing. After 30m this passes an old fence line which lets you know that you have picked the correct track. It takes you uphill to a large clear-felled area This is adjacent to the summit.moorsman15/12/2020

From the Robin Hood Way with more brambles than one would like! Large levellish summit area, mainly in trees but clear felled to N. Felt highest at SK 57583, 75767.RichardM07/01/2019

Parked at South Lodge. Took RoW SE to SK 5752 7538 then into woodland. Not ideal, we returned via unmapped paths to SK 5696 7557 where we met the track that heads NE from S Lodge - much better option. With Carole Engel, in the very dark.jonglew28/12/2017
Take mapped FP NE from South Lodge and grassy track off at SK 5696 7557. A little challenging in the dark!carole engel28/12/2017

A lovely walk on a beautiful sunny morning with Alfie, my black labradoodle! From Small parking area on B6034 and along Robin Hood Way.Dangerous Dave05/05/2016
As Campbell Singer. Interesting rock cutting.ngthack06/03/2016
9th of the morning and final Nottinghamshire Tump. From South Lodge and followed fp eastwards and through a rock cutting with ancient graffiti before branching left and making my way through broad fire breaks to indistinct hp. Hp in the vicinity of a large tree in clearing. A stone to the NW may be significant although my GPS gave a higher reading in the woods a few ms into woods.Campbell Singer05/02/2016
1st hill of the year with Lexi Rue, my partner's Black Labradoodle, starting from Creswell station and then via Creswell crags and the Robin Hood way through the Welbeck estate and then the Sandstone cutting on Drinking Pit lane. We veered off on a grassy forest ride NE and then turned up on a forest ride North up to the summit. Vague summit so spent the next 30 mins exploring all the high points in the vicinity including spotting a herd of Roe Deer darting through the trees. We ended up going on a different track to that planned originally. We ended up on Castle Farm Lane so we profiled around Pudding Lane Wood and then followed the field edge down to the end, climbed through the new willow hedge and then over the barbed wire fence to gain the fp and there followed it over the A57 and onto the estate. We followed residential roads to gain the B6024 and turned right there and just past the Bus station turned left to follow signs to the station.Dazingdale07/01/2016
Much more straightforward than I was expecting: Almost direct line from South Lodge: wide and mown paths.GordonAdshead12/07/2015
From South Lodge, paths through beautiful woodland. Couple of possible 'summits' noted. Also found an OS rivet and benchmark in a block some 200m from summit area.Aye Jimmy22/05/2015
