2 of 2 starting at the lay-by on the a19. Took what was supposed to be the footpath to north of ox bank farm but mustn’t of been used in a long while as nowhere to be seen. Up steep banking in spring wood before Carlow hill came into view. Had a good few minutes at the top taking it all in | The-Z-Man | 10/02/2024 |

As I parked up the landowner came over and saw that I had a chainsaw in my open boot. I asked if I could go to the top of his hill.
Farmer: What for?
Me: I just want to stand on it !
Farmer: Just go along the edge of the wood that way you wont need to climb fences!
Me: cheers!

Nb: I always forage for fallen branches when Im away, hence the chainsaw! | thenomad | 01/11/2017 |
Straight up from the roadside. No fences. No signs to keep out. Steep, slippery climb up. Coat of Arms on rock is very unusual. With Eire, Evan, Sail, Danu, Coel & Alfie. Had a nice pint in the Golden Cup at Nether Silton. | Dangerous Dave | 13/03/2016 |
Mainly cloudy, some sun, a couple of showers, cool. with Bonfire Hill from Over Stilton | joseph mitchell | 19/05/2015 |
