Currently £10 but jolly interesting castle. I had no idea it had been so important.Wycombe Wanderer13/10/2022
Walked from Royal Hotel to ostensibly visit the castle. Ended up on a boat trip on route then joined English Heritage as well. Quite an expensive log, especially as don't do TuMPs. I reckon high point is somewhere either side of viewing platform which offers extensive views over Scarborough.mntainman11/10/2022
A worthwhile visit outlining the history of the site over the past 3000 years. Summit lies in rough grass on banking by curtain wall; viewing platform close by.gerrybowes29/08/2022

On a day trip to Scarborough. Parked at Black Rocks, a stroll and swim on the South Bay, up to the castle and back through town. Everywhere busy but understandably so on a glorious hot day.Jake99409/08/2020

1st of two tunps on a weekend trip with Lesley. Train to Scarborough then via Rotunda museum and harbour using path close to Castle walls before paying entrance fee. We did full circuit including visiting grassy bank (just over low-taped fence) then the Old Chapel and Roman Signal station around to cafe and exhibition. Beautiful views! Continuing to Peasholm park..Dazingdale28/12/2019

Dropped Barbara outside the castle gates and went on search for parking. North esplanade was closest option as I did not have a disc. Pleasant walk up past fine old terraced hotels with good views north. £5.30 concessionary ticket meant that with parking it cost the two of us £12.60 plus Barbara had, as always, to buy a guide book. Still cheaper than Dudley Castle although no tigers or giraffes. Excellent views.Campbell Singer11/10/2017

Leisurely wander round on a drizzly day. Lots of bench marks in and around castle. Parking mostly disc zone. Would easy on Sunday.RHW02/04/2016
Visit with the family while on holiday in Whitby. Parked by Anne Bronte's grave and then a nice walk around various points of the hill. The viewing point with the flag pole is the best bit.Herbert Anchovy29/03/2016

Paid £5 to find the highest natural point, grassy banking/lawn leading up to 'The Curtain Walls'. Couple of higher points at nearby viewing platform and in The Keep itself. Gale blowing, decidedly chilly. Later found out it had cost me £105 to visit Scarborough Castle: mobile speed camera on the Malton Bypass. Plus 3 points. So if you use the A64 from York, think on!Aye Jimmy11/01/2015
Paid £8 to enter the castle with myself and the kids and found the highest point inside. Great views around the area and spent half a hour exploring the castle.bolieve21/09/2014
