Independently used moorsman's parking spot at track junction to north at SO 26756 39945 (420m). From here the required track through dense forest is slightly hidden by foliage (or it is in the height of summer) so be careful not to take the wrong track. At a cross track there is a little 'Welcome' sign screwed to a tree! The track terminates at a gate onto the access land. The vegetation is kept in check by placid ponies so no problem reaching the summit which is a small grassy mound at SO 27089 39069. The access track to the north is a Forestry Commission road to a depot hidden away in the forest. Drive up it for about 400m until it turns left at a large, hard surfaced area suitable for parking. Easy walk to the summit from here.moorsman14/05/2013
