Walk around Hope Bowdler Hill and Church Stretton again, very tough in the heat but really nice.mollyushills05/09/2021
Up from Chapel Lawn, very hot. Fine hill fort, still defended - by clegs.fasgadh20/07/2021
19 mile circular clun-Bucknell-Clun. A highlight of the day Caradoc. Great hill Fort, great view down into the valley A hard day's walk in cold, flooded Shropshire. My phone died on us, many wrong turns. Instincts brought us back to Clun on this slog. Navigation seems fairly challenging around here. Hit by a huge storm when we were at our most exhausted.tumpawumpa18/02/2020
Parked outside the church at Chapel Lawn. Squire farm and the along ROW and permissive paths to the hill fort which is very impressive. Very well defended at one time. Very handsome sheep who were very inquisitive on my descent. Fine hill in a beautiful area.Campbell Singer06/10/2019

One of the finest Iron Age hillforts I've been to. Superbly sited with great views across Shropshire and Mid-Wales. Walked up from the west along the footpath.thesweetcheat24/11/2016
With LW 10/11. From gate NW. Followed ROW to track heading more directly uphill to small copse. From here across to fence. B/W fence but no wire at crest of hill. Gate on 2nd fence. A superb fortlet. Grand view and sugnificant depth to ramparts. A most satisfying Shrump. (Shropshire tump)stig_nest08/05/2016
