Last of 5 Corbett’s round from A82, great views but a hard day with a longish walk back to car. 10 hours in total. | PeterD | 06/06/2023 |
Beinn a Chaisteal and Beinn nam Fuaran, as per Walkhighlands route but with shorter return, descending S then W from BnF to Auch Glen - shorter and no fords to cross. With DRC. | TRG318 | 26/03/2023 |
Solo round of Beinn a' Chaisteil & Beinn nam Fuaran from the parking spot off the A82 by the big Loch Lomond & Trossachs sign and set off down an icy track joining the WHW down to Auch. Decided to do the route anti-clickwise - Glen Coralon > Beinn a' Chaisteil then followed the fenceline north down to the track by some man-made waterfalls, then the long walk out. Freezing temps down low, snow above 600m but sunny blue skies made for some dramatic views. Total time: 6h 8min. | mproudfoot | 11/12/2022 |
Climbed with Dom, Amy, Richard, Andrew B on a rainy day on DMC Bridge of Orchy Meet | amcculloch | 23/10/2021 |
From A82 by Auch track junction, parked on gravel verge, narrow but ok. Past Auch, track on south side of Allt Coralan, across the stream on the track then heading diagonally up the grassy slope east then north avoiding the crags. Into the clag, fence posts to the obvious top. | Owen B | 21/08/2021 |
Solo MTB along N shore of Loch Lyon. Climbed NE flank of Beinn nam Fuaran. After very steep decent to SW over Beinn a' Chaisteil and descent via coll to NE and back around S shore of Loch. | John Lee | 16/07/2021 |
I parked near the Auch road end. I walked in towards Auch Lodge, under the railway viaduct and then up Glen Coralan before heading up the steep energy sapping grass slopes to Beinn a'Chaisteil. It was very windy on the summit. After taking a few photos, including one of my parked car in the far distance I headed down to the bealach for a lunch break. I then continued to Beinn nam Fuaran. | langskill | 12/06/2021 |

The 5 Corbetts from the summit of the A82 between Tyndrum and the Bridge of Orchy. Beinn Odhar, Beinn Chaorach, Cwm Chreag, Beinn nam Fuaran, and Beinn a' Chaisteil. A major undertaking in one day, being 27km with 2150m ascent, taking 9h30m. | silveracorn_alan | 20/08/2017 |
A nice walk from Auch. Lovely grassy hills, with very little bogginess. | Gill | 03/06/2017 |

Auch Corbetts with Robert Wight from WHW carpark at top of Tyndrum road. Mostly in cloud but easy nav due to fenceposts. Interminable ascent mostly in soft snow. 10 hours. | alexmaclennan | 04/04/2015 |
From rough parking area on A82 at Auch. Along estate track, under viaduct then followed track Southeast before a steep ascent up to ridge roughly following the fenceline over Beinn a'Chaisteil & Beinn nam Fuaran then continuing down to the Allt a'Chuirn & the track back to the start. With Pigeon. | MorecambeMonkey | 21/03/2015 |

A direct line up the west face next to the gully. Fab, but very steep. With GHC. Lovely warm day. | Play2End | 11/05/2014 |
One tired dog and his owner, slumped near cairn and got the tootsies out to cool them down. Loved the views so did the panting dog. Company: Jake the Black Lab. | iandesbottes | 12/10/2013 |
Very tired by this point! Great views from the summit as with all of these Corbetts in this area. | bowlesy | 25/08/2013 |
Bridge of Orchy-Beinn Dorain-Beinn nam Fuaran-Beinn a'Chaisteil-Tyndrum. Unusually dry underfoot. Went for very direct descent. Had spotted green spur from train, but was frazzled at summit and instead descended through scree (too far round to the north) and what normally would have been a significant burn. | campagvelocet | 22/07/2013 |

9th – Solo. From Bridge of Orchy, followed WHW and under railway, ascend SE ridge to summit of Beinn a' Chaisteil, then descend N and ascend SW face to summit of Beinn nam Fuaran. Descend to Allt Kinglass and return via WHW. Overcast, but mostly above summits, heavy rain in second half of day – got soaked. | RGibbs | 16/11/2012 |
Lowering clouds, calm, warm and good views. Rained on return. | iangalbraith | 19/08/2012 |

Cycled from the top of the glen down the WHW and then up Auch Glen. Ascended very wet gully on side of hill and then vertical grass to a point 200m below summit. Not recommended. Quite exposed. Traversed to B nam Fuaran where the rain started and continued for the rest of the day. | Martin66 | 08/06/2003 |
