Part of a walk from Much Wenlock to Ironbridge | satterthwaite | 16/01/2024 |
The trig seems popular with the local Badgers - they are maintaining a nice path. | TK | 20/12/2023 |
Parked to south west as others before. Couple of inches of snow on the ground so no issues with crops in summit field. | Alan Caine | 03/12/2023 |
Went from southwest. Passed a house to a steeper bit, very muddy and wet part that was a stream, a wood area with another stream through it, went with Dad. | speedyclimber | 19/02/2022 |
Parked at SO 63472 99835. Pleasant walk using ROW though very wet with several springs emerging after heavy rain. Small herd of deer in the summit field. Nice little hill. With Felix | RoguePulsar | 19/02/2022 |

Parked at start of the ROW to the SW. ROW, then field edge to summit near isolated tree. | PGCE | 23/09/2021 |
6th tump of a 7 tump loop from Madeley to Ironbridge, climbing Madeley Hill, Sutton hill, Pump hill, Nordley Comnon and Shirlett Common. I followed the road to the cross-roads then followed East side of field margin to the fp, using it to find breach in hedge. Continued up to the Ash tree then out onto the broad top. Descent North through conifer plantation following forest track that leads out past two fields before turning onto the road. Continuation to Tick Wood... | Dazingdale | 14/03/2020 |
RoW from the SW, farmer had (thoughtfully?) left tractor lines leading across the summit of the crop field. Then visited trig to the E - which was found, eventually... | Aye Jimmy | 01/06/2019 |
Good parking spot at the start of the ROW to the S, followed this and then field edge to flattish summit near isolated tree. Very straightforward. | milimana | 13/05/2019 |
Trig pillar then onto TUMP. | cjo | 21/12/2018 |
From the lane end to SW. FP was saturated and had to make a diversion in the dark. Up through sheep field. Dawn breaking on descent. | Campbell Singer | 25/01/2018 |
From Much Wenlock via field paths and field margin. A large levellish field with no distinct high point. Nice large Ash tree on SSW side of summit. Then to tig point. | RichardM | 25/01/2018 |
From SW along FP, then field edge. HP just beyond tree. Also went to trig which was hidden between hedge and fence, just enough room to get to it. | PeterD | 18/04/2017 |
As for Adrian | arranc | 14/02/2017 |
Field, also did nearby trig. | Adrian | 22/01/2017 |
Parked off the B4376 to the SW then used wet footpath to ease access to this Tump with Alex and Smudge before bagging Arlescott trig point hidden in the hedge. | Dugswell2 | 15/01/2017 |
Carbagging with Dugswell & AC. As per heavyhorses although trig was probably easier for us to locate at this stage of the year. | Smudge | 15/01/2017 |
Parked at SO634998 and followed RoW, and then up fence line. Nearby Trig point very hard to find in middle of large edge! | heavyhorses | 31/07/2016 |
Parked at Arlescott farm entrance. Took track around field edge though fp through corn is very clear. Followed ROW and after last large tree found a gap in hedge to access summit field. Nice view to the Wrekin.
nb. If visiting the trig hop over the gate into the water compound and access the space between two fences from there. Trig is a 30m walk then. No crawling through gaps required. | stig_nest | 23/06/2016 |
With Stig. A nightmare hill for folk like me with hayfever. Trig was more fun than the top. | Laura.W | 23/06/2016 |
FP from SW then striaght up pasture and through a track through the centre of the wood. The summit is a few yards into a cabbage field. | clivevilla | 23/03/2016 |
From SW, nice route although boggy at stream crossing. | RHW | 15/03/2015 |
From B4375 to NE. Good farmland RoW to within 230m of HP, then over muddy arable field. HP pretty much on OS spot height as shown on 1:25k map. | jonglew | 08/03/2015 |
From P @ SJ624001. FPs then field edge from SJ 64171 00362. | summitsup | 16/01/2015 |
