After Serridge Inclosure following tracks to overgrown summit then back via a myriad of tracksgrumpy19/09/2023
Recommend, beware of the 'dangerous' tree.Martin R29/05/2023
Free car park NE of Speech House Hotel. Easy forest tracks, then up W ridge of Serridge Inclosure. On to Crabtree Hill.PGCE25/09/2022

Parked at SO 6283 1258 and headed NW past cottage to pick up Gloucestershire Way. The summit area is open heathland, though the hp was disappointing - lots of gorse and bramble.milimana10/05/2021
Small diversion while walking Gloucestershire Way from Bream to Mitcheldean in glorious sunshine.thesweetcheat26/09/2020
Parking to the SW on the B4226, then along the Gloucestershire Way, HP on forest track. Trig to the SE, industrial archaeology further SE.DanMaisieBex15/08/2020
HP is at edge of forest at track junction within heathland- lovely views under warm milky blue skies. Great cycling, continued to trig.Denise 29/05/2020
An easy ascent by cycle up surfaced track from the N. High point at junction of tracks. Gorse heathland and forest. First summit view of the day.RichardM29/05/2020
Have been up Crabtree Hill many times wildlife watching! It's a great place to see Tree Pipits and Nightjars in the summer. In the Winter it's always popular with wildlife enthusiasts looking for Crossbills and the Great Grey Shrike. I distinctly remember walking to the trig point on the day that I saw the Shrike for the first time!Gerry the Ranger05/02/2018
Serridge Inclosure and Crabtree Hill from A road to the west. The forest is pretty open and there seem to be paths going wherever you need. I saw a herd of at least nine deer.clivevilla17/01/2018
Parked at SO639135. Bonus of trig on way to summit.Ramblingpaul19/04/2017
Agree with others that summit is in open area on ridge covered with gorse.Campbell Singer23/09/2016
From SSE, good forest tracks. Wide surfaced track near junction has old Enclosure Act marker. Agree with others, hp seems 200m to W, 1ft boundary bank crossing gorsy heathy ex forest.RHW03/09/2016
Up track from the south. Didn't think the junction was the highest point. I went for a clump of bracken in the clearing some way off to the west. Sun came out briefly and the whole place came to life with an emperor dragonfly, cinnabar moths, stonechats frolicking about. Returned on the path which OS show bisecting the trig. Plenty of signs of wild boar foraging.Herbert Anchovy15/06/2016
Trig visited first on 15/04/1999 but felt a re-visit wise to go to the other 200m point. Ground a further 300m west on felled ground gradually being taken over by young gorse seems one or two metres higher.vegibagger30/03/2016
From the North and then onto Serridge. Visually the HP at the track junction, but GPS thinks it is 20 metres NW. Also visited trig point.PeterD14/06/2015
Roadside parking on muddy verge of B4226 to S. Bagged the trig pillar then onto HP at junc paths. ***Re-visited 21 Jun 2021 for the re-located summit. Parked to S again, in a dirt pull-in (SO 6399 1256). Walked past the trig and the old HP. Good woodland tracks then an old track for last 70m or so saved a thrash. Fairly obvious HP.jonglew17/02/2015
Five Acres to Cinderford. Ground (brash ridged) to NW - SO632137 - appeared to have a height advantage over the mapped 200m contour.Smudge23/11/2014
From Forestry Commission Brierly entrance track, via Drybrook Road Station, to the highest part of the trackMariana Trench09/11/2014
Walked over from Surridge Inclosure, A few candidates for high point but probably on main track.rhalstead15/12/2013
