Recommend avoid on bank holiday. Parked further away from the pay and display machine, than the walk to the base of the slag heaps.Martin R29/05/2023
From forestry car park - dusk visit. Main summit VERY steep. Also visited alternative highpoint, which is considerably easier.PGCE24/09/2022
Both summits visitedPeteF09/08/2021
Parked at roadside lay-by off the A4136 and took the long way around! Got caught in a heavy downpour but overall enjoyed this little adventure. Went up both summits.Gerry the Ranger14/11/2020
access from Cannop Cycle hire/ trails carpark- P&D. we cycled here. Brambly and steep informal path leads from carpark. Two summits, with mature trees, both visited , hard to say which is higher as no line of sight. ? consolidated spoil heap.Denise 29/05/2020
Both peaks on steep mountain bike trails - apparently no longer used in this part of the forest. Colliery spoil heaps but very enjoyable none the less.RichardM29/05/2020
Parked in cycle centre and did both tops. Both are quite steep and trees were quite handy to slow my descent.clivevilla04/12/2018
Parked on road side. Former spoil heap ?Ramblingpaul19/04/2017
From cycle centre. Very steep ascent. Not very steep descent.Campbell Singer23/09/2016
Nw and Se summits both visited and look v similar on map and on ground. Hard to split but may be abneyable, would need a mate with something very bright on opposite summit. From Se, limited parking. Cannop cycle centre to Ne closed 0747 Sat am so riding a parking ticket or paying not an option. Interesting summits very well covered with mature pinewood. Good sighting of 4 wild boar crossing track in front of me.RHW03/09/2016
Took standard route (didn't bother to pay). Last bit amazingly steep but got up the cycle track itself - it was surprisingly grippy in the wet - but used trees to aid my descent. Seemingly a colliery spoil heap rather than a natural hill.Herbert Anchovy15/06/2016
Steep sided little Bing cone next to a mega biking centrevegibagger30/03/2016
Parked at track on B4226, only easy way up appears to be from North side, up the bike track. Very steep final scramble to HP, but found a slightly easier way down .PeterD25/05/2015
From cycle centre (£3.50 car park) to foot of cone. Pull up on hands and knees using fir trees to hold on to and to top. Backside used on way down!.arranc10/03/2015
Parked at cycle shop, past road utilities compound then up very steep cycle tracks to an abrupt HP in conifer woodland.jonglew17/02/2015
Five Acres to Cinderford. A lot of down from Berry Hill!Smudge23/11/2014
