Parked in open field gateway. Field had recently been harvested. Across two fields and directly up though scrub and brambles to top. Old plough near summit.Campbell Singer12/08/2023
Parked in gateway at SO 3789 3627 opposite ROW. After Newbarns Hill. Through gate on SE side of hill: main track passes close to summit.PGCE26/05/2022
Parked to west, along FP to NW of hill then gate and up through light brambles and fence and on to top. Newish man made track near topPeterD18/04/2022
A quick break from work. Walked up from the NE, initially on the RoW. The hill is scarred by timber extraction tracks.Rob Rees03/06/2021
open mixed woodland, some recently felled. Levelish summit area. Wintry sun is trying to burn off the fog.Denise 26/11/2020
From the NE initially on the field path then S into woods and easily up to well defined high point in open woodland - Oak, Ash, Beech. Recent forestry thinning activity but plenty of nice tees left.RichardM26/11/2020
From the NE where the fp starts, along soggy field edge, across pasture and over fixed gate into wood. A bit brambly on the slopes but no difficulties. Towards the SE there is a graveyard gully of old vehicles, farm equipment and white goods, perhaps pre-dating the trees? At the foot of the SE corner is a sturdy seat with a plaque, 'Ben's Bench'. On to Newbarns Hill.milimana16/12/2019
From the west. Parked on roadside nr barn. Across a field then track up the woodland.Adrian09/02/2019
From NE then quickly veered left along field edges to wooded, hilly bank. No problems with brambles at this time of year but I can see that there will be later. HP is around 37466 35857.clivevilla30/01/2018
horrible. Wrong time of year. Very overgrown.Dusty16/07/2017
From the NE where there is space to park where the footpath starts. Watch out for the dodgy stile. Low brambles on the woodland slopes but they were OK at this time of year.Herbert Anchovy07/03/2017
From 379363 over 3 stiles and a BWF to HP in open wood.arranc06/03/2016
