Decided that a circumnavigation of the reservoir compound would do for this one. I made the pavement outside the reservoir gate on Castle Road East to be marginally higher than that on Harbourne Road by the water tower.milimana07/08/2019

From Abbey Road, up through Warley Park and then along Lightwoods Hill and Harborne Road to the pavement just outside the water tower, which seems as good a candidate for the natural high point as anywhereMariana Trench25/08/2018
2nd log of 7 today, having visited Netherton Hill, i took a bus back to Dudley bus station then straight onto the 126 taking me to a bus stop about 30m from the ginnel then straight over wall and fence to visit Trig pillar then a circuit around the base of the reservoir and out the same way. Now a fairly lengthy walk to Turner's hill ensues...Dazingdale30/06/2018
I walked up the road and spotted the top of the trigpoint pillar behind the fence.Alancache15/02/2018

Second visit having failed the first time. If you climb over where the fence and wall meet by the tower this seems slightly easier and is a slightly less public spot. Exited over the wall by entrance which is lower on the inside than the outside.clivevilla21/10/2017

Easiest way in looked to be over wall just left of entrance but too many folk about. So walked around fence line but couldn't find any way easier or more discreet. Spotted trig though!Aye Jimmy20/08/2017

walked around reservoir, not sure if natural high spot is in compound or not.cjo30/04/2017
Thought it would be disappointing to leave without visiting the top of the reservoir and the trig. The easiest way in is over the wall on the golf course side which is lower than the wall by the entrance. Exited over the wall by the entrance, earning some disapproving looks from a passing motorist. Hard to know where the highest natural ground might be.Herbert Anchovy06/04/2017
Reached after a stop start crawl through Birmingham in rush hour traffic -my own fault for following my curiosity to visit Ackers ski slope see if it gives Birmingham a TuMP -it doesn't as its not very tall. Went on to visit my new found TuMP in Sandwell -Church HillChris Pearson23/03/2017
Frustrating to get no access to the reservoir. Looked like one could climb the wall with abit more grippy trainers and courage especially since it was dark and Sunday evening. But I didn't. Would like to see it in daylight. Highest ground outside fence may be couple of hundred metres along the road to the north.vegibagger23/10/2016
Trig and TUMP summit visible from road and man made First gate open to allow resident out but second security gate behind first prevented further progress today.Dugswell219/10/2016
First stop on a cycle around the West Midlands. High point looks to be in fenced compound between covered reservoir and the water tower. Trig point visible but also in compound.RichardM04/08/2016
Walked two sides of reservoir compoundBramley30/07/2016
Walked around reservoir compound.PeterD22/05/2016
Entrance to the compound is the breach. I guess if you absolutely had to you could be up and over and to the trig and then back over the wall in under 2 mins.stig_nest22/04/2016
Reservoir water tower impressive but inaccessible. Had to make do with roadside HP.Barbara Singer27/03/2016
Climbed up onto reservoir wall which seemed to HP without clearing the fence.Campbell Singer27/03/2016

Boring with no views. Trig and top are inside reservoir compound which has high metal fences and security cameras - but most of land inside compound man-made so doesn't really matter. Easy parking on Harbourne road. Impressive 1930s water tower if you like that sort of thing.Hillsidenick08/01/2014
