3rd tump of 7 today, climbing Badby Down and Golden Hill using the 200 bus. I took the bus from Byfield and got off next to a footpath leading over a naked soily knoll (fortunately dry) then over a track to a wooded field boundary then used this as cover keeping by verge till level with the large Ash tree then explored to the other side of the field. Highest point about 20m Se of the tree. Descent along edge then another non-existent footpath eventually seeing signs then track to road heading for Blackdown...Dazingdale15/09/2018

Badby to Hinton. Approached along ROW that passes W of the hill (undefined through crops & ploughed fields, although marked at fence points) then up & down field edge partially visible from buildings to SW.Smudge16/12/2017
BW from Hinton near new houses. Then up field edge to gate. HP in field towards tree. Easier than I thought.PeterD05/11/2017
From Hinton on bridleway then field edges to wood. Stubble field at top. good view of several of surrounding hills.KC10/09/2017
Approached by footpath from Hinton, but better to use the farm road to avoid arable field. Then followed footpath over two fences before ascending arable field to a gap in hedge, which leads to the top. The summit tree is now isolated as the boundary hedge/fence has been removed. Good view from the top.JohnW10/09/2017
From S followed Jurassic Way lane arrow-like to just before Charwelton Lodge, then up fields to wood. Continued round to high point out in crop with convenient tractor lines.Aye Jimmy11/08/2017

7.00am on a weekday and Hinton (a dormitory village for Daventry?) waking up with commuters cars leaving, dog walkers, and woman in her pajamas putting out her wheelie bin. Ploughed field on row over hillock gave awfully heavy welly clinging mud. Kept to dead ground to summit.Back down tarmac driveChris Pearson23/03/2017

Waled up private road fro lodge, but could easilly have parked 300m North where footpaths cross: Fould field edges very hard going with much tangle weed.GordonAdshead19/07/2016
In view of bogginess, parked opposite Hinton Lodge and walked along private road, then along fp through saturated fields before easy walk up to hp.Campbell Singer18/02/2016
