Longer trip report for such a small hill on https://www.peakbagger.com/climber/ascent.aspx?aid=2455254.
But it does include a gpx track log marked up with hedge holes I found and used.
Also had the feeling of a GOML hill but did not see any private property signs on the grass fields where I stuck to the boundaries.
Alternatively take route via horse field described by Denise & RichardM | mntainman | 01/03/2024 |
As others, parked at village hall and followed ROW at first, then fence line to approach summit from NW. Some difficulty getting through the hedge into the top field. Nice views of the Chilterns, but reluctant to hang around as visible from house to W. 1.3 miles, 30m ascent, 35 mins. Central Beds completed. | Mark Jackson | 19/08/2023 |
Parked by Billington playground SP939229 to NW of summit, just off main road. From public RoW to NW of summit, headed SE on E side of field boundaries (with gates, horses and stables) and then SW through hedge gap across domed summit field with sheep and long grass. No feature at summit. Nice views from top as sun set. En route home from Luton Airport. | Denise | 24/02/2023 |
Good parking in muddy layby on NW side of village field. Tack NE then into field with stables and horses and along field boundaries to summit field of rough pasture with sheep. Levelish, vague high point | RichardM | 24/02/2023 |

Ascent of the North Face. Parked in Gaddesden Turn and followed footpath. Then into field on right and up. A couple of gates and a hedge to negotiate, mainly out of sight of the houses. On the way home from completing Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, this completes Central Bedfordshire. | PGCE | 27/05/2020 |
As per clivevilla. Nice views. | maclrc | 18/01/2020 |
From SE at dusk. Commanding view, especially of the Chiltern escarpment. | Wycombe Wanderer | 21/12/2019 |
1 of 6 on 26 mile bike ride. Tied bike up on stanbridge road and made way up through fields. No brambles as stated by previous baggers | The-Z-Man | 31/07/2019 |
Revisit early afternoon for photos. I thought that I would have a look from the gates at the SE to track and stables. Gates were open so I enquired at the stables where Ken allowed me to gain access to summit via two of his muddy gateways plus one barbed wire fence to gain summit field. This is certainly the easiest route. | Dugswell2 | 26/02/2019 |
Field, hedge route at sundown ok at this time of year. | Dugswell2 | 25/02/2019 |
3rd top of 4 today and final hill of a 11 mile, 3 tump route from Dunstable to Leighton Buzzard (Linslade station) climbing Blow Down and Dunstable Downs then long trek to reach gate from the South, however opted for 2 hedge/fence alternative in adjacent field (to avoid exciting the horses) to reach vague grassy field with track cutting through it. Wandered around then a squeeze through hedge past horses to another then under another to reach a fp then on road into Leighton Buzzard continuing to the station for the next train to Bletchley...Central Bedfordshire completed!

From SSE. If you are reasonably nimble you can slide under the high metal gates and then it is straightforward. | clivevilla | 31/05/2018 |
From the layby on the A505. Set off in the dark and had difficulty getting into the field through a hawthorn hedge and over a well made fence. Horses were docile. Another difficult fence and hedge to negotiate to access summit field. Wouldn't recommend this route when the hedges are in leaf. | Campbell Singer | 22/11/2017 |
Could not find a way as per RHW. | arranc | 14/10/2017 |
From layby to NE, grim fight through hedge/fence to get started. Field edges, more awkward fence/hedges bring one to summit field of long grass overlooking house/farm. Highest point vague. | Aye Jimmy | 09/10/2017 |
From lay-by on bypass. Had to outwit horses in large meadow on way up by drawing them to one side and then going round other side hidden by end of ridge.
Summit meadow unoccupied. | KC | 15/04/2017 |
Far too hardcore for me so I settled for the highest accessible ground at the church, being only 6m lower than the summit. Can't put the all important tick in the box but I expect I'll get over it by the time I sit down for coffee in Buckingham! | ijpowell | 02/09/2016 |
Many obstacles Spikey hedges, fences, nettles, horses. Determination needed. Even Edward VIII had trouble here - breaking his collar bone in a fall from his horse during the Billington point to point. The pretty thatched cottages in the village have featured on many chocolate and biscuit tin lids.

From ROW to North through pastures. | PeterD | 21/03/2016 |
Route as per AR. Couple of fenced hedgerows to negotiate. HR in hay meadow. | jonglew | 05/09/2015 |
As Adrian from NNW | GordonAdshead | 22/02/2015 |
Approached as Adrian. Couldn't find a way up from south as RHW. Concludes a week of Humping & Tumping in this area. All the hills on OS map 165 done. | ngthack | 22/08/2014 |
from ROW to north through paddoccks and into overgrwon paddock. Views to the Chilterns. | Adrian | 25/01/2014 |
Meadow. From SSE. | RHW | 01/12/2012 |
