Permission given at the stables. Trig visited also.Alan Caine23/07/2023
Arrived at Bissell Wood equestrian centre at 09:30 on a Saturday morning. No-one about so I phoned them and a nice lady said I could go to the trig point and gave me directions. Superior quality (by the look of it) equestrian centre in pine plantation, nice. 11 degrees, dark cloud - sunny spells and showers later. Felt like April.Wycombe Wanderer07/01/2023
Had just set off along track when a car (friend of the land owner) pulled up alongside me and asked if I was looking for the trig pillar -'as we get one or two looking for it'. Permission readily given to climb fence and friendly instructions on how to find it! What a nice chap. No horses about and could stride clear of any electric fences -just in case. The equestrian centre who own this hill have 5 cross country routes in the wood down to the west which they share with a paintballing battle zone. I wonder if they ever get muddled up or combine? A cavalry charge by paintballers perhaps?Chris Pearson23/03/2022

Parked on minor road where there is ample parking. Asked permission and kindly given to visit trig from stables owner. 5/5 for hospitality and directions.Play2End31/05/2021
Parked to E at start of track to equestrian centre. Along track before going right up fields to summit and trig. No horses about today.PGCE19/01/2021
Parked SO 8724 7721, large car park for patrons of the Bissell Wood farm - xmas trees on sale today. Asked the man in the sales booth, he was fine with me wandering up the hill, although was unable to offer directions, not that I'd asked him. Track leads through the farm, then leads off SSE just before the paintball area is encounterd - none of that going on today though; unlike baggers normal people don't go out when it's tipping it down! Hill summit seems to be ~60m NE of the trig pillar.jonglew16/12/2020
1st of 6 today, having run out of light yesterday. I parked up beside padlocked entrance. Up via tracks then horse paths to reach grassy terrace, over one allegedly electrified fence to reach the remanants of the the Elderberry bush at the top. Back the same route with no issues as the centre was closed today. Onwards to Hammer Hill...Dazingdale10/11/2019
Asked at riding stables, owners very helpful. Short walk through wood and into field.Ramblingpaul28/05/2018
Parking area to NE. Asked at farm, was told a big paint-ball battle was going on in wood. After some discussion (and for my safety) farm hand gave me a lift up steep track to top gate of wood in his Gator Utility Vehicle (a quad with a roof on). A bit hairy it was too... do those things ever tip over?Aye Jimmy17/02/2018
Phoned Bissell Wood Estate the day before and permission to access readily granted. Walked a long way down drive then doubled back and up on horse route. No horses around today so descended directly back to the start of the estate drive.milimana16/02/2018
Easy ascent from the lane leading to Equestrian Centre. Couple of electric fences but inoperable. Far easier than I feared.Campbell Singer12/07/2017
Drove to and sought out Neville who was more than accommodating. Suggested if I had a 4x4 I could drive up to the trig/top. Politely advised I was happy using my hill hardened legs. Fine view.stig_nest22/04/2017
Meandered up through the wood, mainly on horse paths.Herbert Anchovy05/04/2017
Same route as Richard. From farm track up field edge. Trig and HP visited. Bis sell Wood to North was being used for paint balling.PeterD21/08/2016
Permission to visit granted from Bissell Wood Equestrian Centre (a long way along the dirt drive) Ascent from NE up grassy fields with electric tape fences. Summit has long grass grazed by friendly horses. Trig point on SW side of summit, high point unmarked next to Elderberry bush 60m NE of trig. Fine views.RichardM22/07/2015
