After Harpley hill i drove to Sheringham, parking up in the layby off the main road. My daughter and i walked a nice circular via the attractive Priory over the top along the coast path. Glorious sunshine and views. We also had a quick look at Beeston Regis SSSI before driving up to Beacon Hill.Dazingdale01/05/2021

A fun hill as part of a walk along the Norfolk Coast Path between Sherringham and Cromer before returning on the train. Gorgeous views but absolutely hundreds of horrible little bugs everywhere. 5.1 miles Walked with Anna, 4 year old J and 7 month old A in a carrier.Wackywelshy15/06/2019

A lovely coastal hill composed of the same glacial till that makes up the 8 mile long 100m high Cromer Ridge ( Terminal Moraine) just inland laid down by a glacier only 10 to 15,000 yrs ago. It is still eroding rapidly - there used to be two bumps as shown in sketches from 1700s. More of the hill is likely to disappear as there is a managed retreat policy for the coastline berween here and West Ructon -which involves not replacing crumbling sea defences, and allowing the coast to evolve naturally. There was a cross on the summit on my visit - brought up yesterday on the annual Easter Sunday service. During WWII it was a listening post to intercept messages for Bletchley Park to decipher.Chris Pearson22/04/2019

Following a gig in Norwich the previous evening, J&I had a few days in Sheringham. A beautiful evening on arrival, so well worth a quick wander up the Bump for the view. Joined dozens of others, none of whom I suspect would have any idea about 'Tumps'. Highlight was a walk out W to Blakeney Point the following day for some seal watching though.NotReallyABagger22/02/2019
