Short distance to top from road to SW where there are two large tyres. Up boundary past more tyres and up to rock outcrop on path through Bracken.PeterD07/02/2023
Solo. From Blackingstone Rock. Actual path through the bracken on way to the outcrop. Maybe tump bagging is catching on!MickyRoss04/08/2022
Easy walk from the road. Lots of old wheels and tyres in the woods which was a shame. Saw a Buzzard. Had to plough through bracken to the rock outcrop on the summit.isabelle09/08/2020
Short stroll from the road where there is a pull in.clivevilla22/06/2020
The final hill of a two-day exploration of the periphery of Dartmoor with MAE. Damp but not actually raining. The route from the SW (SX 7787 8522) is fine, but best to go through the trees until the summit outcrop is in sight.David Purchase04/10/2019
A short walk from the pull-in to the SW. Along the boundary until you can just see the top of the summit rock below a stand of trees twenty yards ahead and to the left, then crashing through the intervening sea of bracken.Nick Down115/07/2019
Climbed as part of a summer evening stroll on the moor.broser29/06/2019
Round of five summits from Blytheswood bunkhouse. Along boundary mound from sw. Summit rocks concealed in bracken but head for Hawthorn copse.Moorponder26/06/2018

Small parking area to NE at the rightangled bend in the road. From here follow the road west for a 100m to the fence line marking the boundary of the open access. Scramble up the verge and follow the hedgeline along a distinct path before turning off for a difficult to find summit.moorsman19/08/2014
